Stargate d20

I wouldn't call that kind of clause standard operating procedure. In fact, I didn't start seeing those clauses very often until the dot.com bust was into full swing.
Well, at least Lucasfilm had a clause like that for WEG's Star Wars deal, and Viacom/Paramount had one for Last Unicorn's Star Trek license (which is why we're not seeing a Star Trek d20 right now). Those are the two major RPG licenses I can think of.

Well, a third is Lord of the Rings, but I can't recall if ICE lost their license before or after they went bankrupt.

Well there was just a thread about this not too long ago:

stargate d20
^
It mentions that
T20 (I assume that means "Traveller d20") would be highly suitable for running a Stargate d20 game. (especially the last post)

I know that is not the Official Stargate game you are looking for but if it is just about perfect then why not!?

A couple of reasons. First, it isn't anywhere near "just about perfect". It's only a mini-game. I was thinking more along the lines of a full blown campaign setting, with massive lists and content on equipment, feats, skills, character classes, opponants, special powers, races, some modules, organizations, locations, etc... Enough stuff to make a real, long-lived game out of it.

Second, maybe I want to go purchase the license from MGM and publish it myself under d20 Modern :)

Hehh. Why wait?

This is another one of those setting out there that seems like it would be quite easy under the Spycraft system. You are top notch technicians and comandos storming the Stargates and bringing back the goodies. Easy as pie :).
