Well spotted Mr Rock. We meet again. :D

Yeah my current Wilderlands campaign is 5e D&D set in the Ghinarian Hills, just had a PC make
8th level tonight after 34 sessions.

I thought so. Good to see you on another forum! I did a long stint with C&C after the edition wars and Necro dried up. The editing is so bad in the books and endless re-re-releases of the same old tired material drove me to give 5e a shot. Glad I did too! Good to see you again! Cheers.

I am running session 5 of a new 5e campaign set in Kestizar, just west of Antil in barbarian Altanis. Good times.

I'm finding 5e works very well for the slightly gonzo swords & sorcery 'Thongor of Lemuria' type feel I'm going for. Bounded Accuracy works very well with status-quo sandboxing; nothing is unhittable and nothing feels trivial/unthreatening; my 7th level party got seriously mauled by a squad of regular 11 hp hobgoblins recently. 5e's also good for a lower-magic campaign, with less reliance on magical healing.
