Accualy, I think you're refering to a Wonder Swan Color. There was, I believe, an original Black & White system called the Wonder Swan, the color is it's sucessor.

Indeed, I was referring to the newer Color model, and I was aware of the original black and white unit. I didn't elaborate on that point because I hadn't expected quite as many to be familiar with the Wonder Swan handhelds, though I probably should have known better, considering the diverse tastes in the large EN World community.

Interesting Fact for those not familiar with the Wonder Swan: The Koto Company, creator of the Wonder Swan, was founded by the late Gunpei Yokoi. He had a long, successful career with Nintendo, his most famous accomplishments being the legendary Metroid series and the insanely popular GameBoy. He left Nintendo in 1996 after the Virtual Boy, another Gunpei endeavor, flopped in the U.S. Soon after he established the Koto Company with plans to enter the handheld market. Sadly, Gunpei was killed in an auto accident in 1997. As a tribute to Gunpei Yokoi, the first game released on the Wonder Swan was called 'Gunpey'.
