Thanks. That was an interesting read.

"... roleplaying continued to suffer from a glut of amateur and semiprofessional d20 releases..."
I think that's a little far-fetched. Or isn't it?

d20 is the biggest thing in role playing and there has been a glut of new publisher that are semiprofessional becasue of it. So, not entirely unaccurate I'd say.

But blaming these publishers for the "suffering" of roleplaying is what I called far-fetched.

I can see it. Its the d20 bubble burst that has been going on for a year now, it did hurt the market and cause RPGs to "suffer".

Wow, 28 full time people- I wonder how many other publishers are that large?

Well, it depends on who all he counts. They do have a card game department and the on line store, the whare house, etc so not just RPGs.

Eh - I've said it before, and I'll say it again - most of the unprofessional, uninspired books making up the "glut" are the ones from the big RPG companies, the supposed professionals.

(Not to say that all small company stuff is good, but much like the car rental companies, they do try harder because they have to. And for them, time is not as big a factor, compared to companies that churn out 2-3 books a month).
