Expeditious Retreat Press just released World Building Library: Stories of Tibet at www.YourGamesNow.com.

In the vein of other World Building Library articles, this work is a collection of Tibetan folklore. In Tibetan folklore, there are reflections of many influences. There are the virtues upheld in Buddhism: kindness, faithfulness, appreciation, contentment, humbleness, and a giving heart. There are the virtues inherited through interaction with their neighbors and the harsh environment of Tibet: ingenuity, resourcefulness, and cleverness. And finally, there is a fatalism underlying it all, yet Tibetan folklore seems to say, “Be a happy, hopeful fatalist.”

Stop by, Shop, and become your own happy fatalist!

P.S. If you are interested in bringing Tibetan influences in your games, also consider other WBL articles on Tibet: World Building Library: Items of Folklore: Tibet, World Building Library: Tibetan Deities, World Building Library: Tibetan Dress, Arms, & Armor, World Building Library: Tibetan Exorcism, and World Building Library: Yak Culture
