Strange damage reduction

In my setting I have dreamborn creatures called Trillith, each of which is an incarnation of some type of dream or emotion or thought or concept. They have damage reduction that can only be bypassed by something anathema to their nature. Normal weapons can damage them, but not as well.

Indomitability can be hurt by weapons made from dead creatures (bone or wood).

Darkness can be hurt by weapons that glow (light spell).

Cacophony can be hurt by silent things (in a silence spell).

Perversion can be hurt by virgins.

Deception can be hurt as long as you're not trying to surprise him or feint with him.

And so on.

I'd be interested in hearing other ideas, but I was just reading the Black Cauldron, and enjoying Eilonwy's simile fascination, when in my mind I saw:

"DR 10/similes"

I'm not sure what exactly that work for, but I like it.

IMC, I use this idea rampantly!

--An arrogant race of cats that value beauty above all else (incarnations of Bast) have their damage reduction bypassed by anyone with a Charisma of 6 or less.

--A divine scribe (incarnation of Thoth) has damage reduction bypassed when attacked by someone who is illiterate.

--An incarnation of the storm and rain goddess has damage reduction bypassed when attacked by someone born during a drought.

--A celestial creature that belongs to a noble family has damage reduction bypassed when attacked by someone who is of the lowest social class (slave, endentured servant, criminal, etc).

I could see some type of undead creature that could only be harmed by living weapons. All those Monks and Claw-PsiWar types are useful, your Greatsword is pretty crappy, and even a club is too dead. I imagine a Druid could be very useful here.
