Earring of Change/Alter Self - These guys are nice. It's always nice to be able to look how you want, when you want. And it's useful implications are quite obvious.
I think the next items on my list will be:
- An animated rope for the thief
- A brooch of barkskin for myself
- A brooch of mage armour for the druid
- The helm of PFE mentionned above (thanks Wulf) for the cleric
- Heward's Handy Haversacks for the thief (so the paladin doesn't have to carry the thieve's tools around )
2) Helm of Protection from Evil. Of all the items Wulf Ratbane ever had, this was the single most useful-- not for the +2 deflection bonus vs. evil creatures, but for those two extra perks you get from PfE:
How much did your DM charge for this item? Although it's very cheap if priced according to standard rules (the same rules that make bracers of mage armor cost 2,000 gp, as opposed to bracers of armor +4, which cost 16,000 gp), when I priced out the powers individually, it came out to between 15K and 22K.
I think it's a great item, but it oughtta be very, very expensive. Check out this thread for discussion of its pricing.
An outfit of continuous prestidigation: clean. Not only are you always spotless, but no using mud/flour/paint to detect you when invisible.
Slippers of hasted spider climbing. Why move at 15 when you can move at 30.
A sleeping bag that allows someone to get a rested night while wearing any armor. Alternately, a headband which grants someone the ability to 'sleep' as an elf.
A helm of expanded expanded expanded etc blindsight.
Headband of Intellect. Sell everything except your spellbook, if you have to.
Glove of Spectral Hand -- and give it to the cleric. Now the cleric can stabilize PCs without taking 4 rounds to trundle his plate armored a** over there...
If strength is low, and you carry a bunch of books, Heward's Handy Haversack is great.
