Would a multiclass Sor/Wiz have 2 familiar's? or just one?

Just one.

However, their Sorceror and Wizard levels would stack when determining the familiar's special abilities.

AFAIK, the only way to get a 2nd familiar is the "Extra Familiar" feat from Dragon #280.

I don't have that issue, however, so I can't verify that.

Responding as a reader who can follow directions... I'd have to say, "Yes."

For a more useful response... A Sor/Wiz multi could have lots of familiars. However, under the core rules, he can only have one at a time. There's penalties for losing the previous familiar, though.
