hockey is very, very cool.

Yeah, Austin Icebats. Interesting, you're in "our" league alsih2o. I live in San Angelo. Our team is in that league. San Angelo Saints. Hockey is a great game. I started watching it in college and soon found an online/street league. Played on a pretty good team, got in a lot of fights and had a ton of fun (so much for the meek geek gamer stereotype). I'm glad you enjoyed the experience. If you can ever hitch a ride on the team bus, come to San Angelo! We can hang out and yell at the rednecks who drink too much Coors Light.

how far are you from dallas? my travel plans this year are gencon, london (did it), dallas and boston.

i should be in dallas for nearly a week, crashing with a friend, let me know

Heh, boy Texas is a big state. I'm 4 and a half hours away from Dallas. I have a lot of family there and depending on my work situation, I may actually be near there at some point this summer or fall or winter, or any given time.

By the by, what promted you to go to the last game of the entire season in the Central Hockey League? Well, it might not have been the last had Austin won, but of course they gave it up in double over time. You picked a whale of a game to see. Good call!

the wife unit called from work and said "blah blah blah tomorrow night and good seats are still available, wanna go?"

we went to three mo' tenors last weekend, wow, if you get the chance catch it, great performance!
