Superhero Sunday -- Who is in?

I am still trying to figure out the system and how to create Superman within the guidelines you mentioned.

(The Superman I am familiar with is not as powerful as the one you mentioned - after Crisis he lost a lot of his strength, lost his microscopic vision, and his x-ray vision is local only. A city-wide scan would involve a lot of harmful radiation that could hurt a lot of people. Nor is he the supragenius who could invent anything like the pre-Crisis Superman. Nowadays, he is as intelligent as a newspaper reporter. He also lost his dog, never was Superboy, and cannot break a planet with a punch. He is also completely susceptible to the supernatural - actually, more so than Batman.)

Vince, I'll send you the version of Superman I made up for my demo way back when. He is basically the JL cartoon Superman. So not as powerful as either pre-Crisis, or post-Crisis. But I think he is still a 200+ point character. So you will have to tone him down a bit to fit the 175-point plus defects level I am shooting for. And just to be clear, would you be happy with a Superman-LIKE character, or are you only interested in playing the actual man of steel?

What's the setting gonna be like. Will it be like Paragon City where there's a LOT of superheroes/villains and they're pretty common or like that session we played before where we had to play on the down low?

Naw, not as common as CoH's Paragon City where there are super-powered baddies and heroes on every street corner. Pretty much like the standard DC/Marvel comic book. Maybe 1 out of every 100,000 people is super-powered, so a city like New York with 8 million people would have 80 or so supers of various power levels. The heroes in our game will be THE pre-eminent superheroes. Not second-stringers or some such.

Awesome! If you want to tone him down to the old George Reeves TV version of Superman from the 1950's, that would be fine also. I would like to play Superman himself, if I can. I know him: how he acts, how he reacts, when he uses what powers, and how not to abuse him (for example, he never used X-Ray vision to figure out who Batman was).

It will be fun trying to find a way to switch from Clark Kent to Superman without the other superheroes finding out. That would be kind of funny to have a group of heroes, all in their "mortal" disguises, quickly dashing away, excuses on their lips, as soon as trouble erupts, to turn into the superheroes!

Will the adventure involve leg-work in our "mortal" disguises, and one or two appearances of the superhero (like TV shows), or are we pretty much "on-duty" the entire time?
