[Supers] Free Mini-Adventure Book present for the Holidays!


Green Ronin has graciously agreed to host a gift I'm giving to the fans of Super Hero games.
It's been a long time coming... but I hope you all enjoy it.

A Comic Book Story Toolkit
mini-Adventure Seeds for use with Mutants & Masterminds and other super heroic games

HERO HOOKS is a collection of one-shot comic scenarios, plots, and possibilities intended to get the Game Master's creative gears going – a starting point for a one-shot adventure or possibly an entire campaign. Each of these HOOKS are typically less than a page long and begin with an evocative paragraph followed by three possible explanations for Game Masters to choose and/or build from. These seeds do not contain game statistics and detailed setting informations – that can be best left to individual GMs. The HOOKS and Explanations range from full-blown super villainous threats to the purely human challenges, allowing GMs to tailor the ideas easily dropping into any campaign..

Hey - I had a chance to read this last night.

I would recommend you buy this book - even if were $30 or more. The art, layout and writing are all excellent by any standard.

It's more than a little shocking to get something this well done as a freebie.

I encourage anyone with an interest in Supers gaming - and especially anyone who GMs a Supers game - to pick up this download. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

WOW! What a great product... and to get it for the bubble... Happy new year for ME!

OK... onto something a little more beefy... I am currently deployed and have little time to peruse internet forums so when I do get the chance to hop on... I usually look for certain things. It is always a plus for me to find something that is a quick download I can then read when I get that thirty seconds before bed. Needless to say I took a bit more time with this.

I am a big fan of the Colored Underoo Crew and supers products make up better portion of my budget on games (which at the moment is nil). On a first read here is my impressions...

• Hero Hooks is laid out very well and the art is fun and light... already said and Kudos to the first reviewers ;-)
• I greatly enjoyed the fact that the book was crafted by the great folks of the Atomik Think Tank
• The book was written from the standpoint that it could be used with any game that brings comics to life ( They used M&M as a basis but then again that is only fair as it is a SUPERLINK Product)
• The book is broken down into segments that break into an in depth discussion of the most commonly used plot hooks in comics... This is done very well and allows folks to see common hooks along common themes... not overwhelming at all... Groovy!
• Hero Hooks is an excellent addition to any GM's arsenal as it gives out plenty of ideas while still stimulating more

So what is next... Will we see more Hero Hooking going on (awe man did this thread just go south with that comment eh?) and are there any more products comming down the pipe from the great folks on the Atomik Boards?

One of my goals with creating and designing HERO HOOKS was to offer fans (both amateur and professional) writers to create cool little HOOKS for a high quality publication. In hopes that they might use this as a spring board to other writing gigs or just to give back to the fan community. (which is what I did by offering it for FREE)

I'm glad not only the HOOKS but also the ideas for developing structure/plot are to your liking. I'd love to hear more for ideas of what to include in future volumes!
