D&D 5E (2014) Survivor Campaign Settings- Birthright Wins?

Birthright 8 (+1)
Lankhmar 1 (-3)

I liked the Lankhmar idea of clerical magic as "white magic" vs. wizardly "black magic" otherwise, it didn't really bring much to the D&D table.

Birthright was actually a pretty solid setting. I have zero beef with the results.
It went as I expected, honestly. The settings everyone is tired of mostly went first. The "This ain't D&D!" (Darksun) setting didn't last much longer. Then it was a brawl between the second stringers with the "Best of the Rest" (IMO) coming out on top.

Amen. Birthright is a wildly underappreciated setting.

As I said earlier, we played a short Birthright campaign - using 5E rules. It was an interesting diversion and the DM did a very good job of setting the scene and testing us as a group. It was however during a time when we were a little short on player numbers, and the style of play probably didn't suit those of us who took part - but it was fun all the same. It's very detailed and very different to the norm, and thus probably deserves a bit more recognition amongst the gaming masses.

Not a patch on Dark Sun though!
