Spoilers SW: Skeleton crew discussion thread

Agreed on both counts.

One thing I’d like to know is: if the last message the Supervisor received from the Republic was Order 66, that means the Republic knew about At Attin at the time it changed into the Empire … so how come the Empire never showed up to take over?

Perhaps the people who knew about At Attin in the Republic weren’t keen on the Empire and managed to keep the knowledge of the planet hidden.

I find it hard to believe the Empire wouldn’t care about the old Republic mint.

Might have fallen off the grid by then but could still recieve transmissions.

Didn't come up with any elaborate theories this time around.

A very nice ending to the series. Good to see the New Republic pulling their weight, including some actual production-line B-Wings using the prototype Bladewing's composite-beam lasers. I guess they finally worked the bugs out.

Man, I hated this ending. Literally every character had to act like an idiot at times for the plot to chug along. Poor Jude Law was chomping at the bit to get some better acting partners, to no avail. A disappointing ending to a very disappointing show. Glad it’s over, and hopefully no more experiments like this.

Yeah, with The Clone Wars and all, it may have gotten lost in the shuffle. And yet still been on the galactic mailing list (so to speak) :).

I’m always amazed (and somewhat gratified, actually) how a single property can be viewed so differently.

Personally, outside of Andor (which is in a class all to itself), I thought this was one of the best Star Wars things they’ve done in the Disney Plus era. Adventures in the Star Wars universe that wasn’t pigeon-holed to the same story or set of people. A New Republic allowed to be useful and competent. A show that actually had decent pacing. And while Jude Law clearly owned this show, the kids didn’t bother me at all.

I definitely want to see more like this. Not kids specifically, but well-made shows that expand the universe.

My take on that was Order 66 was a broadcast in the literal sense. It was sent over all possible channels and manners of transmission to ensure that all clones received the message and as many Jedi as possible were wiped out.

Similarly, the propaganda video of Palpatine/Sideous from the Senate showing the scars "inflicted" upon him by the Jedi was also a literal broadcast.

Because of this, no need for anyone to still be regularly in contact or knowledgeable about At-Attin in the Republic/Empire while At-Attin was still receiving the message.

Cheers :)

Simplest explanation: the Jedi where in charge of security, so killing them killed everyone who knew the location of At Atin. Maybe Obi Wan even deleted information from the Jedi temple computer.

It might also be worth pointing out that communication isn’t possible through the barrier, so messages must have arrived by ship (possibly messenger drone).

If I remember correctly in The Bad Batch we see Republic credits being replaced by Imperial currency (something that sometimes happens in the real world), so maybe Palpatine didn’t care anyway.
