Swear At & Insult Your Players

I've idly thought of playing a foul mouthed paladin. Always obscenity, never profanity, and ready with a lecture on the distinction if anyone tries to call him on it.

Geneology insults and personal habits are always classic.

I liked alot of the "swearing" in the Wheel of Time series. As it is 7:30ish in the morning... my brain isn't quite properly functioning yet... I'll get back to ya :P

The one that sticks out best in my mind is Bloody Sheep Swallop, and Blood and Bloody Ashes (sometimes just Blood and Ashes).

I seem to recall Conan swearing by Crom's Balls, in a black and white comic once. Swearing by any deities balls or bollocks (or other body parts), especially when preceded by an adjective, tend to make for interseting swears.

*BAM* - subscribed! This is a great thread. Too bad I don't have anything useful to contribute.

And thanks for mentioning of Black Adder, SS. I'm trying to catch up on "classics" (like Tripods and Red Dwarf) that I'd never seen - either due to location and from a quick internet search it sounds like this qualifies.

Hey, that gives me a great idea for a question thread. I'd ask it here but I really do NOT want to hijack the core focus of this one.

You know, curses and what not always seem to sound cooler in different languages. And if people don't know what language you're speaking in, all you need to do is say something which sounds cool. It doesn't matter if you're ACTUALLY saying 'I love you' but if you say it like a curse and tell everyone it's a curse, they'll never know the difference.

anything in klingon would make a good curse methinks.

Klingon translators can be found online, and I personally think it would make for a good dwarven curse.
