Sword of Truth Long-Tailed Gar

This was a neat monster. all wrapped up mythos. Did anyone ever convert it for PF?

The one from Terry Goodkind's books?

A bit of rummaging around the internet found a 3.0 D&D conversion but I couldn't find a 3.5 or Pathfinder version.

As far as I know there's never been a Sword of Truth licensed D&D game or rules supplement, so there aren't any official stats.

It's not something we're likely to do here, since this forum is mostly about converting monsters from pre-3rd edition sources that never got an official upgrade into 3rd-edition rules so we can post 'em on the Creature Catalog. Since the Gars AFAIK never had any 2E AD&D published in a TSR-recognized source they're not on our "to-do" list.

We could have a shot at it I suppose, although I'm wondering whether the question more properly belongs on the Homebrews forum instead.

I see. Sorry for mix up. First time posting here. Thanks for fast informative response.

Yes, I noticed it was your first post.

Welcome aboard!

Anyhow, were you wanting to do a Pathfinder conversion of them, or just looking for something ready-made?

Things are a bit slow here at the moment, and I'd be game to stat something up as a Homebrew.

I was hoping to find something done already. Since the game was last night, I took a troll, switched out fast healing with Scent and given it fly speed. Boom, Gar. haha

Sounds good, it rarely pays to sweat over the details when actually running the game so long as it works.

It sounds more like you added a fly speed and took away the Regeneration, since trolls already have scent in 3E and Pathfinder.
