Pathfinder 1E Sword of Valor, Wrath of the Righteous AP Part 2 with your hosts Scotley and MLeibrock

Thorn shrugged. "I wasn't the only one who came to help. The key point here is, lets not charge off alone into danger anymore."

Big words coming from her, of course. She was always doing exactly that.

While listening,Randlay shifts his weight just a little bit and his armour finally settles on to him the way he finds most comfortable. "As much as I might like my own skin," he notes, clearing his voice and speaking up "the real issue here is not for us juiced up folks, but our squishier comrades here. Last I checked I still gotta sleep, and we cannot be doing all the patrols ourselves. More sentries are probably gonna get killed before we hit the city, and there is only so much that can be done about that." As gruff as the crusader might be the thought of men under his charge dying like that weighed on him, more than his armour. But this was war; at best, given the nature of the opposition.

"If we had not killed that demon, I think It could have reported our numbers and location or continued to pick us off . . . or both." He shrugs and says, "But that is just my opinion."

Thorn frowned a little.

"Maybe," she allowed grudgingly, "But you don't usually see powerful demons like that running recon. They leave that to the little guys. Any demon can teleport, and most can turn invisible. A demon like that...it was probably hunting for it's own sake. It could have gotten away at any time after all."

Sosiel, the cleric, makes his way to your group, "Is your plan still to leave this morning? The troops seem to be awaiting orders of what your wishes are. Shall we have them begin breaking camp or are you thinking we need to investigate this place more thoroughly?"

"I think we need to keep going and quickly at that. Unfortunately it would take longer than we have to follow all the different trails left here. I think the villagers who were able have gone to safety. So let us keep on with our plan and leave this place."

"Yes, I agree that we should move the force along at once. With a force of this size, 'at once' will probably mean a delay of at least half an hour, and even then they will not get very far during the first hour of march. Why don't we instruct our junior officers to call a halt after an hour's march? Then we could investigate some here begining immediately. That would give us about two hours before we are required to provide additional direction to our men. Surely we can find any clues here that we are likely to find at all in the space of two hours, and if we finish a bit early, so much the better because we can resume our positions and, hey, we'll get to rest, too!"
