swordmage powers

...Huh. Level 17? Is that a list of some of their powers? Because As I see it there should be four encounter powers (P,7,13,17), three dailies (5,9,15), and then five utilities (2,6,10,16,P). Allow me to rephrase; is that a summary of all powers, or a summary of the powers in general such that you've removed some of them? Also, Aegis of Assault is a Class Feature and not a(n) utility. Granted, they may have put it there for ease of working with. I'm very interested in seeing the sheets. I'll be very grateful if you can get them up scanned and up some where.
Looks like they lumped things under "Utility" for ease of play at the convention; even Second Wind is listed there.

Sheets has been added to my original post above.

Hm, his basic attack has the same to hit bonus as his powers.

Being Str-based is should have a bonus that is 2 points lower than the bonus of his int-based powers.

Misstake or maybe a feat that allows a swordmage to base his basic attacks on int instead of Str? Would be a blessing for shielding swordmages with a low str score

It is better the belt of the same name, but yeah it is 17th level character.

It could be 16th, 10th, 6th, or 2nd level.
Stoneskin (Wizard utility 16) gives resistance 10 to all damage until the end of the encounter, and the wizard can cast it on himself or an ally. So Ironskin as a swordmage power certainly seems reasonable.

They have a new excerpt up for Swordmage. It only has two powers we haven't seen before, a level 27 and 29 one. Everything else is just the At-Wills.

That character sheet is interesting. An extra +2 on death saves? Bonus basic attacks with action points? Initiative using Int mod instead of Dex? Aegis of Assault hitting one or two creatures?

Quite likely the effects of new feats.

EDIT: Actually, the basic attack after an AP action is probably the 11th level feature of the paragon path. Others might be PP features, too.

Analysis.

Thanks a bunch to Sir Brennen for the scans.

(PP) indicates what I believe to be a Paragon Path influence.
(PF) indicates what I believe to be a Paragon level Feat.
I'm fairly certain about the levels of the encounter powers, and I took a guess at the utilites.
[sblock]I assume that this Swordmage follows an offense-based paragon path, probably called Anarch of Shyr.

(PP)Aegis of Assault two marks - totally paragon level. I think that this is a paragon path feature. However, it could be similar to the Twofold Curse of Warlocks. My confusion in that matter is that there is no feat for throwing down two Divine Challenges at once. The paladin (IMO) is more similar to the Swordmage than the fighter. I would think that this is powerful enough to be the 16th level PP feature.

(PF)Saving Throws Bonus. The +1 is obviously from the Human feat. Having a save bonus vs. specific thing is not unheard of w/ a PP, but it is more likely a paragon level feat for humans IMO.

(PF)The initiative is based on INT, and then he has improved initiative. Paragon Path or Feat? I think feat. It makes sense to allow all int-based classes to use their int towards Init. since they can use it for Ref and AC already.

(PP)This Path's action point special is the ability to make a melee basic attack after its use. There may be some numbers behind the scenes, but this seems pretty straightforward.

(PP)That 19-20 Crit range w/ ongoing 10 damage (save ends) - summation of paragon path AND magical weapon? The 19-20 threat range in paragon tier is usually indicative of a PP (but oddly weakens that Vorpal Doom for this particular PP). It does not indicate multiple dice being added to damage, and is very similar to the assassin's weapon previewed for Adventurer's Vault.

(PF?)The melee basic attack (as mentioned) uses the INT mod for a STR-based attack. It's probably a typo, but could indicate a Feat or Paragon Path ability? If anything, I'd have to guess it's a swordmage-oriented feat.

From Ampersand.

Because those two are the encounter powers for 13 and 17, I'm guessing L. Clutch is 7 and is linked to aegis of assault (since it seems like a build synthesis type of thing). I'll guess Acid for Blood = Paragon Encounter power.

I'm guessing that the Stance of Chaos is a Paragon Utility - possibly At Will! I have to imagine that End of the Delve on Ironskin means until the end of the encounter.[/sblock]Please throw in your two coppers.
