Today's going to be a quiet day, so I thought I'd mention a couple of site related issues.
First, I've noticed that there are a lot of websites out there still using EN World's old newsfeed/syndication system. That system has not been used in 9 months or so, and, naturally, those websites are getting error messages or old news.
The system in place for newsfeeds from EN World can be found here. If you are using an old feed, please feel free to update it. If you aren't using one, but would like one, you are welcome to use the system.
Secondly, are you aware of EN World's PDF/e-Publishing news page? It presents you with up-to-date news on the latest PDF and electronic products for any RPG system, not just d20. If you're a publisher, you could do worse than use the page to promote your wares (although please check the news policy first). You can also help to support the e-publishing industry by using the syndication tools mentioned above to put the latest e-publishing news on your website.
As a side-note, EN World also has a Sci-fi/Fantasy news page.
Finally, I'd like to mention the new server. The server parts have all been purchased, and the server is pretty much built. Next we need to configure it, and then begin a mass data import from the old server to the new one - before doing some more configuring and testing. We're optimistically hoping to have it running by mid-January, and I for one can't wait to see EN World running at lightning speed!
