Tales of an Eternal Kingdom D&D 3.5 *Recruiting*

I can do whichever, but I'd like to know which books I can access, or are your houserules/books barred is indicating I can pull material from every source except psionics?

Not being snarky or anything, just like to know which books I can work with when coming up with ideas.

40 point buy? Wow. Never saw a point buy that high.

Well templates become quickly common as the campaign progresses. So the point buy is to make it so that RP possibilities are a bit more expanded. Though I do suggest people look into down-the-road investments.

Really plan on the prestige class (If any) you plan to take.

Besides Psionics, are there any other books you don't want used in your game?

nope everything else should be good.

i just don't have the psionic book, or i'd allow it. really if you abuse something bad enough expect to get on my bad side. ;-)

i don't mind most things, and hope to see archers shooting 30 arrows or fighters making ridiculous attacks.

Sounds cool. although I do wonder how a civilization living under a desert of eternal night manages to feed their millions of slaves. Fishing is the only thing that springs to mind, or possibly some artifact class food generating items.

So if we were to play the evil campaign, we would be starting as tagged human minions? Are humans the only slaves or are there other minion races like the classic werewolves, or merely other D&D humanoids. Working your way up to vampirehood is an obvious path, but what other options exist? Other forms of undeath?

Hmmm. One of my all time favorite PrCs back in 3e was a necromancy inclined bodyguard from the excellent Hollowfaust book for scarred lands. Could I take a stab at adapting it for 3.5? ... On second thought that book is in storage, damm. I'll have to see what I have available.

This seems kool living on an island with a terminator line right down the middle and all sorts of nasties on oneside and peopel trying to live a peace full life on the other

What also is intruging is an evil party a party in the pay of the Kingdom of Night scouts/spys/saboteurs or on a quest to find Vallshoon's Curse a copy of the spell that brought this about so as to undo the curse or even move their half of the moon to expand their empire

So I vote an evil party or if you think you can swing the players an evil vs good one group protecting the Information the other trying to steal it. But at low levels could just be doing the basics scouting, spying and random destruction.

Great Ideal you have Kagehiro.

well if you're interested i can get the evil started up. then gather good side as interest increases. i would like to run 3-5 each side. with the stat increase it's a bit easier to run 3 but 5 would be ideal with a balance. then i can run it a bit more aggressive in nature throwing more of the story sooner.

however i can balance it for the end.

as for more story that will be given out as the party does gather info, and meets the right people. the council has motives for what they want, and the ruling party of the Kingdom of Light isn't even known to the population. The constant fanatical following of the enforcement types keeps any question of who's right. "If the government wasn't corrupt then why would John the Baker be guilty for necromancy and high-treason?!? The government is perfect, don't question them.... they might hear."

that sort of thing

well the average person is taught to fear the time when the sun setted, to make sure they don't question authority. also to them the highest honor is to join one of the groups that help to keep order. also their commanders are honored leaders, and some peasants worship them as saints.

Just the kind of thing evil characters can use I for see the Kingdom of Light falling and I can also see Jasperin Darksong (NE) Human Bard writing the great ballad of the lights fall into eternal darkness as he witness from high on the mountains as the divide between day and night slowly crept closer and closer, how the masses fled before the tide of darkness and the evil it held but for them it was to late thier fate to feed the hungry damned was sealed.

Character concept in the works (as you can see).

HM

Hm... if we're doing an evil party, I was thinking a Rogue/Ninja character. Haven't looked for Prestige Classes yet, but was thinking of this character as a trained assassin, one who 'snuffs out the Light'. If there is any sort of rebellion forming anywhere, this character was trained to deal with it. (Obviously he wouldn't be perfect initially).

Either that or a Monk/Ninja(taking Ascetic Stalker).
