There was a small announcement that Morrigan Press was looking for writers. I definitely think I'll pick it up. Tal is what got me into roleplaying.

I'm curious how they ported the Talislanta spell system to d20. Because I basically mined it for ideas when writing the revised Elements of Magic. I wonder if they'll be similar at all.

Hmm... that might be interesting.

Talislanta could work well with the d20 system, altho I like the simpleness of the original system. :)

Because they have 40 different character races? Lets buy a few WotC books, and you also have 40 different character races to play. D&D has long been one of the most diverse and interesting settings in the roleplaying industry.

Yeah, that's what they all say. ;)

Nonetheless, Talislanta is a pretty cool little game with a rather unique flavor. :)

I hope so. EoM was a good product, and I haven't even gotten the revised version yet.

Talislanta covnersion to d20 isn't too difficult as it stands. The magic system is indeed quite interesting and is the "unique" part of it besides the flavour of the setting and the game.

I wonder if they're going to keep close to the d20 system. Will their races fit into a standard d20 campaign? Will they use level adjustments or monster levels?

I know that when it was first announced, they were going OGL which often, as with Conan and Lonewolf, means non comptability. Now that d20 system itself isn't a standaard in and of itself, but games using it are usually a little closer to standard D&D, which is what I'm looking for.

Then again, I hear P.D. Breeding is back on the art so I'll probably pick this up anyway.

I'd get this. Not to play Tal. But to rip off for other games.

Or, to put elves it. It seemed odd to me that all their advertising was admitting their obvious weakness... ;)
