D&D 5E Tall's PotA Campaign - IC

Sacred Stone Monastery, Day 7, Evening

Jurth's brow furrows while he thinks about what just happened. "Fine, Jurth take you to see Hellenrae." He picks up the huge club propped up near him, looking at his two underlings to do the same. "Dis way. He heads towards the west door, pulling a ring of keys off his belt. The other two orogs wait for you to follow Jurth, clearly waiting to follow behind you.

Errol’s hand reached for his sword when he saw the orogs, but when he asked for a password, he relaxed, though only slightly. He wracked his brain trying to think of a way to bluff his way out of this when Nariah seemed to take care of it for him.

Glancing at the others, Errol shrugged and moved to follow the orogs. Deeper into the pit, he thought to himself.

"Maybe you shouldn't completely leave your post?"
Ilvellios suggested.

OOC:
We don't know how many guards the boss will have, I think we should ambush these orogs once we get the idea which direction they're taking us.

Sacred Stone Monastery, Day 7, Evening

Jurth laughs when Illvilious suggests that someone should stay in the guard room, "Grorag here." he says, "You too stupid to remember password,
you no tell Jurth how to work."

He opens the door onto a stone switchback staircase going up. It ends at another wooden door, this one in slightly better condition than the ones downstairs. You are back at ground level and must surely be inside the monastery. Jurth rattles his keys and unlocks the top before before swinging it open revealing a junction of corridors, on leading north, one east and one south.

The north corridor is about 30ft long, ending in a door at the bottom of a short flight of stairs. There is a door on both the east and west wall close to you. The east corridor is also about 30ft long then turns south, there is a door in the north wall at the far end and a door in the south wall at the close end. The south corridor continues for 30ft before turning east, there is a double door in the west wall and a door to the south at the bend.

GM: Jurth is at the front, with the other two at the rear. For the sake of speed I've narrated up to the corridor, but if you want to spring an ambush in the stairs, I'll be ok with that. The stairs are wide enough to allow two of you to stand side by side. Wherever you spring the ambush, let me know where you are. relative to the orogs.

OOC: As a large bear I'm assuming Duran would block the stair case? Thinking this could be the best time to ambush the range guys in the middle can focus fire the lone urog down while illy tanks it. Meanwhile Duran can protect the rear he should last a round or two without help.

OOC:
Sounds good! Wonder who he meant by Grorag? After we deal with the orogs we could backtrack and see if there is something we missed, or he may be referring to the large monster behind the barred door?

GM:
As a large bear I'm assuming Duran would block the stair case?
You are correct, I'll take it then that Duran takes up the rear, with Illvilious at the front, with one more (volunteers?) and two more in the middle.

I'll keep the initiative from earlier, but you'll get a surprise round in so attack rolls and stuff when you are ready.

OOC:
I guess we haven't had the short rest needed for me to attune the tomb of health?

Surreptitiously making eye contact with the others as they ascended the stairs, Ilvellios focused his breath and prepared for the coming violence.

He then whirled his staff in a low arc, aiming at the smaller of the two orogs, and followed that with a swift kick.
