D&D 5E Tasha or xanathar's, choose one and why do you like it?

Definitely Tasha's. I really like the customization rules regarding character race/origin, and the new subclasses are pretty slick.

Oh wait - am I confusing Tasha's and Xanthar's with that? If so I guess I prefer Tasha's (I thought all of those optional variant features were in Xanthar's for some reason)

Yep, those are all Tasha's.

Xanathar's is really good, too, but I definitely get more mileage out of the alt features, and subclasses that expand the game rather than doing more of what the game already does, than from X.

I feel I should add, I have got more out of Xanathar's as a DM and more out of Tasha's as a player.

In my opinion Xanathar's is better written and better balanced. I don't like the power creep in Tasha's and no longer allow it's use in my campaigns.
