(OOC- Kahuna: ...I would like to roll another character, *i only have lynx,* and meet you going out the door. Is that possible?)

(Judge Post - If you want to do that, you should try to get that character approved as soon as possible.

KB, I've sent my thoughts, by the way.)

Bartholemu "lynx" Holland

(ooc: judge. I am working on the character now and can post him for approval in probably less than an hour. If it is fine with the judges, then I suppose it is up to KB.)

(OOC- Kahuna: You are right. This is not the type of adventure lynx would indulge in. He is just going to stay in the tavern. However, I would really like to play in one of your adventures. I would like to roll another character, *i only have lynx,* and meet you going out the door. Is that possible?)

(ooc:actually I can do one better - like I said the current PC is with a large group of npcs andI'd be happy to have you play one of them. if you have aim or yahoo im, message me, or email at kahuna_burger73 at yahoo if not.)

Edit - I don't mean for you to play a preexisting pc, if that wasn't clear, but to have your pc be one of the unnamed group members who will be there anyway.

"This is what I am here for, though I may slow you down a bit, as I am on foot. I'll buy a mule on the way out so I do not slow you down as much. Do you think we could make it in a day of walking?"

(OOC: Ok for me to buy a mule on the way out? I am carrying a medium load in a backpack, was planning on dropping it for combat, but I did not consider the slowdown to overland travel.)

Nodis, Human shaper 1

"Unknow number of undead and little money makes Nodis an uneasy person" mumbles the boy. "I´m going!" says then. "After all, it´s an opportunity as good as any other to see some act... to demonstrate my impressive array of powers."

"There's a small mortalist meeting house in the city," Kirin says as she gathers her things. "I'll see if I can get the loan of a horse or two and any mail they want sent that way. Meet me out front in about half an hour."

The gnome smiles up at him kindly, "You're already demonstrating the powers of bravery and kindness, and those are the most impressive as far as I'm concerned."

"Nodis, there's no need to be embarrased about being eager to see combat, it is our profession after all. If the cause is just, there is no shame in enjoyment of your abilities. I must say, I am eager to test my skills in combat as well."

Brother Eusebius, human monk 1

Eusebius stands, reaching for his longspear.

"Well, Sister Kirin, you can certainly count on my support. Although I, too, would appreciate the loan of a mount, as I do not have one, and my funds are inadequate to the cost. I wouldn't want to slow us down!" He grins fiercely as he says this.

The door to the Red Dragon Inn again pushes open, and unless you look below standard humanoid eye level, the reason for it is not apparent.

Soon afterward, the sound of iron tools banging together gives away a young dwarf clad in shining chainmail, a pair of waraxes hanging from his waist at the right side. Even more responsible for the sound is the tools poking out (and in some cases, visible) from the ruck atop the dwarf's back. Easily identifiable are a crowbar, grappling hook, and what appears to be another grappling hook.

Scanning the room, the dwarf looks for familiar faces. He spots Kirin, who he recognizes from days gone by, and walks two steps toward the gnome. Remembering the custom of the Inn, he stops himself, turns, and announces to the world at large:

"Rurik o' Clan Axebender, a' yer service! But mos' priests and wizzers jes' call me 'meatshield!'

A mug o' yer bes' ale, if yer please, barkeep.
"

Kirin pauses a moment, then addresses the dwarf on her way out. "Hello again, Meatshield. I'm running a quick errand, but then my new friends and I have a report of undead to followup on. I've aquired a wand since I last saw you, so I shouldn't have any concerns about my healing magic being able to keep up with your swinging this time." Though not the most eloquent, she seems to be making a sincear gesture. "The fellows over there can fill you in on what little we know, I'll be back soon."
