"Who?" the man asks worriedly, "A troublesome wench named Lasair? If she is here, then those who guide me have failed us...failed us!"

"Oh, I'm not sure she was troublesome... quite amusing, really, in a way. But yes, her name was Lasair -- it was no secret. She told it quite freely to whomever asked.

I trust I have not gotten her in any trouble?

And, again, have you a name? I'm Sunny Perriwinkle. Nice critter you made there. Nice critter. Of course, I can easily one-up you, but that's neither here nor there."

"I highly doubt that your simple conjurings would stand a chance, particularly if we had a conjuring match when it would actually be interesting--let's say after we gain a little bit more experience and become able to actually keep the creatures around for more than the time it takes to summon them? We will bet you twenty-five of your golden coins that ours would prove superior in such an instance, if you do not take our word for it..."

"As for Lasair, she is a meddler, but ultimately her search is futile. Those who guide me have granted us a powerful boon--an ancient magic of theirs is supposed to make it impossible for her to find us, no matter how hard she looks. Silly girl! She knows of the magic from us but looks anyway."

"Sounds like a fun challenge, you-who-shall-go-and-apparantly-will-remain nameless. You are on... just give me a few weeks to hone my skills a bit..."

"You shall have all the time you need. And then we summon creatures to have them fight one on one. One point for the victorious creature, or none awarded if they both vanish before they find a kill."

"Sounds like a good challenge. And, I think that when we are done having our little creatures duke it out for our amusement, we might also (as a team) pose a formidable challange to anyone that opposes us.

What do you say? Sunny P and 'he-who-hath-no-name' vs. the world! I like it!"

[slaps no name on the back]

"You're ok buddy. You're ok in my book."

Ahh, a job opertunity. I've been looking for some excitement." Vanitri says with a gleam in his eye "If your master will have me, I'd be willing to take this as a chance to change the scenery, though combat is not my forte."

"This one is called Zaeryl, and indeed, by augmenting our power with your own magic tricks, we may well become unstoppable," he replies to Sunny.

"You..." the man says, his nostrils flaring as he seems to sniff towards Vanitri, "You are one of her mind puppets aren't you? I can smell it...Poor fool, losing yourself to that wicked creature..."

Ironwolf looks over the others who have expressed interest in this new job. This new man seems suspiciously like Lasair, especially as he uses that same strange word. Coincidence? Perhaps, though he's heard rumors around the Red Dragon Inn of illusion magic being used. Could this be Lassair's travelling face? In any event, he seems to be some sort of shaper if that little mind puppet is any indication.

In spite of the large sword, the crazy one seems to be a mage of some sort. Hopefully, his manic nature will settle when a crisis occurs, but only battle will show the true character of an adventurer.

Ironwolf hasn't observed Vanitri overmuch as yet.

"What is your Forte, sir?"

After listening to the answer, Ironwolf says "My skills are in the warrior arts. I strive to bring mind and body together as one powerfull weapon. If you need swords swung, I will serve... alongside the honorable Mr. Perriwinckle, of course."

OOC: : Hmm...you guys do realise that we just made a team for a melee adventure that doesn't even have a single character with full base attack bonus :)
