(OOC: Don't worry! My Astral Constructs have 10 Charisma, and they will be the ones making the checks :) :)

EDIT: And if I use Aid Another, that's a +2 we're looking at, quality stuff :D)
thats an... interesting interpretation..... ;)

Petra is a gladiator manager as it well, and will be coaching you (aid another) so that will help, but still....

(ooc: well except for those untrained preform gladiatorial checks.... :heh: )

ooc: Skilled fighters that the crowd hates also obtain fame in the gladiator pits. If I must make the crowd scream, perhaps I will make them scream for my blood. I intend to defeat their champions, not seduce their daughters. ;)

(OOC: Hmm, well if she can get my little guys up to +4 then, that's pretty good--hard to beat without having the Perform(Gladiator) skill...which I'm sure the other guys do though :(

OOC: That would still be charisma-driven. The bad guys of the WWF need as much charisma as the good guys. A low-charisma gladiator would probably not inspire the crowd to a very passionate response of any sort.

(OOC: I agree with Orsal that inspiring hatred uses Charisma. I do think that having flashy special moves should count for something though :))

Yes, charisma driven, I agree. However, repeatedly thumping guys they like better than me ought to get some reaction. My low charisma just means I'll have to work harder. I feel sorry for the popular guys allready. ;)

[I have great hopes that Sunny's oversized and quite ridiculous bastard sword will soon become a household name & great crowd favorite... Lil Suzy Q, that is... Unless magic is barred, Sunny is actually quite an effective 1-on-1 fighter. He looks lousy up till the moment he has to hit -- and then boom! he amazingly strikes true. He just has to survive a round or two...(easier said than done)]

1k gold up front!

"I'm you MAN!" Says Sunny P to the half-elf,

With 1K up front.. I absolutely will put myself into the pit for the cause of, well, justice and, well fame..."

Rystil Arden said:
"This one is called Zaeryl, and indeed, by augmenting our power with your own magic tricks, we may well become unstoppable," he replies to Sunny.

"You..." the man says, his nostrils flaring as he seems to sniff towards Vanitri, "You are one of her mind puppets aren't you? I can smell it...Poor fool, losing yourself to that wicked creature..."
"Actualy, she's quite delicious to look at. I simply volunteered to let someone demonstrate their art."
Patlin said:
Ironwolf hasn't observed Vanitri overmuch as yet.

"What is your Forte, sir?"
"Generaly, staying alive. I can fight if I have to, but I am likely more skilled at investigating things." Vanitri replies.

Petra looks quite embarrassed at the turn the conversation has taken and says quickly, "I assure you, my servitude was an economic decision made freely. I, well, I wanted my younger sister to attend a mage academy, as she had some raw talent and very little discipline, and I would have had to work many years to build up enough money for the entrance fees, by which time she probably would have burned down our mother's house.... er, in any case, I indentured myself for a course of 10 years. I have the right to buy my freedom sooner if I so chose, and I'm sure my father would help me come up with the money if I wanted to do that."

She chews one of her braids absently as she reevaluates what the group needs to be informed of. "Slaves in Earling come from either voluntary indenturing, punishment for a crime, prisoners of war or rarely imported slaves. We have a set of rights, including the right to buy our freedom, and protection from abuses. Its been that way for almost a century, since the elf lord took over from the old ruling family. I should tell you now, by tradition, only slaves fight in the Arena. I've set up a contract for those who wish to take the job to indenture themselves for the price of 1000 gold each. If you find and stop the people responsible for the killings, you will be able to buy your freedom for one copper piece. Or you may repurchase yourselves at any time for the 1000 gold."
A huge but dim looking orc slugs back his drink and approaches the half-elf.

"Me be gladiator. Me strong in arm. Pretty in looks. Crowd will love me."

"You still hirin?"
