I like it :). The only suggestion I have are: You might want to consider making the rooms a little less crammed (on the mannor house) and having your maps look a little less "blueprintish" and more artistic, but that's just a matter of style to be honest. The outdoor maps look great, since they have less of a blueprint look. You might want to consider relying less on black outlines to mark objects on your map, and more on color contrast as well. I know that's hard to do in a vector-based program though. Anyway, I can tell you put alot of work into it and it shows, great work and keep it up! :)

Yes, the outdoor maps look like they were torn from the pages of a module. Very professional. Excellent style.

I particularly like the underground map for its tides.

The indoor maps are good but the furniture placement, while functional, is a bit peculiar.

I would decide what furniture was going into a room and then do a simple mock-up moving furniture, doors, windows etc. around until I was satisfied with the arrangement. I might even do two or three arrangements of any given room, such as the rooms on the third floor of your tavern, for the sake of variety.

I would then use these as templates or building blocks if you will, rotating and flipping as needed to fit the project.

Overall you have done some excellent work. Please continue to share. I am glad to see another mapmaker posting their work here. Please check out my maps in this thread.

BTW, In the future would you post your maps, such as the floors of your tavern to one thread. It would save a few clicks.:)

Thanks for showing your work!

thanks

Thanks for the input. As for the FP's, yes their meant to be "draftish". Personally, I like artistic, but for the sake of argument, I see the WoTC map a week stuff to be a waste of space - no matter how beautiful. I was originally trying to sell these & others on an old website via snail mail. The numbers for printing & mailing just wouldn't add up. I decided to drop the whole thing & spent time making cover art for www.darkfuries.com. I'm trying to get interested in gaming again, so decided to get back to dwg. These & others are older works.

As for furniture placement & such, it's just to give an overall idea of what is in the room. I'd rather leave all the little stuff out unless it's from my own campaign - that's really where all this started anyway.
I think an empty (of particulars) FP would better suit a GM so they could stock/write up their own contents. I "see" a lot of people desire a "fully stocked" map rather than using it as a basis for their own adventures.

I ASSUMED (I do that a lot...) that the 200+k file size was meant for a single thread. I didn't want cause any trouble for the server if I uploaded too many maps - but now.....
