[Tavern Thread] The Dunn Wright Inn

A young man in street clothes enters, a bag over his shoulder. He is a slim human, with bright green eyes and ivory-white hair, that seems to attract eyes. After inquiring with the innkeeper, he deposits his bags upstairs (or down, or wherever), then returns to the commons. Taking a seat at a table near the center of the room, but with few people.

[sblock=OOC] NP if I thought it wouldn't be such a hassel I would have old you to stay in the common room just stay a little quite. But it would be better if you weren't (i.e. alot easier to keep track of). [/sblock]

Nonplussed at the sudden departure of Fury and Falkner, Maia turns to the new human and offers her hand as she had before. She'd thought that there was supposed to be words of greeting and introduction, but this man hadn't used any, so perhaps that was the norm?

"Everything," Maia replied to him, lifting her hands up towards the ceiling to illustrate. "How far is it? What direction? What's it like there? I want to know things I don't even know enough to ask for!" She grins. "But mostly, I just wan to know how you can build a cathedral from glass. Is it magic?"

[sblock=HolyMan]I read your instructions and will be following them. I just want to wrap up this conversation first. Won't be long. :)[/sblock]

At the sight of the offered hand he realizes forgot something and smiles ruefully.

"Ha! i for get my manners! " he takes her hand gently in his and continues, " I am Vincenzo del Vecchio da via della Rosa D'Avorio, the second, " he gently kisses the back of her hand in the utmost gentlemanly fashion, bowing low enough his rapier touches the floor then raises, her hand still in his being delicately held, " My family's home is right there in the same district as the tempio di vetro and is of the utmost beauty!! the temple that is."

He continues on speaking of the temple and its many wonderful points of character and beauty, using his free hand to move in flourishing movements to accentuate his points. this goes on for a bit of time as he answers her every question.

OOC: I personally I do not have the complete answers to the question, but I am sure vincenzo would!

A small gnomish woman dusts herself off from a good many days of travel before entering the establishment. Most can make out a shining chain shirt beneath a black tabard with a silver crescent moon upon it. She carries a long sword at her side and a dark colored shield with the same silver crescent moon in the middle across her back.

She looks around with a large infectious smile, "Merry meet and the best of the new year too all!"

She moves to the bar and drops her pack and shield on the ground and hops up on a stool. "I will have a nice mug of mead and some roast chicken and vegetable fixings if you will?"

The gnome turns about and looks over the folk within the tavern.

OOC: I'm having trouble figuring out what adventures are in the offing. It looks to me like HM's Belfry adventure is full again, and I'm hesitant to risk a total newbie character (that I like) in AF's Soul Indescretion, which is apparently written to be difficult for second level characters. Is there anything else on the board right now?

OOC: Good instinct, lol. I believe Holyman has another game due to begin shortly, and AxeM has another game due to kick off in a few weeks as I understand it.

OOC: Also keep in mind that LPF is still new here on enworld and I believe there aren't even any 2nd lvl characters yet :)

The petite half elven girl with the long mane of white hair wearing skin-tight, bone black studded leather armor follows the young white lion out of the tavern after it sniffs around the common room and licks one of the chairs.

OOC: We do actually have a fair few 2nd level characters, Pari, Fury, and Zelena, off the top of my head - I think there are one or two more? And in a couple of days the Buyer's Remorse survivors will be virtually there.

I do also have a 1st level adventure in the works, though it will likely be close to a month before I'm ready to kick it off. We do need to recruit more DMs though.

[sblock=OOC] Noone has said one word about my proposal, and it's been a week. :(

But I will leave a slot open for Frost, Finn. Do you want to work on her character RP wise. I could have a drunk patron make a pass at her. ;) [/sblock]
