[Tavern Thread] The Dunn Wright Inn

Heinrich tries his best not to be entertained by the clumsy dwarf's antics, but by his eyes one can easily tell a mirthful though bounceing around.

OOC: I'm not gone. The fever is making the rounds through the family, including me. I should get everything moving again later today or tomorrow.

I am guessing that is not the fever for the flaver of the pringles, but rather the drudges of life.

A tall, pale, slender tiefling quickly and quietly opens the door to the inn, peeks through and then drags the rest of himself through, flipping his short tail through last. Shutting the door as quickly as he entered, he shuffles to an empty end of the bar, barely looking up from the floor. The slim vials strapped to his chest and waist clink as he walks. Sitting down, he parts his black hair around his two small horns and gently attempts to set his pack on the ground.

The iron trident strapped to the side of the backpack catches a notch in the floor and the trident rapidly spins towards the tiefling as it falls to the floor. Flailing backwards and almost off of his stool, the tiefling deftly snatches the trident and lets the whole ordeal fall softly to the floor behind the stool.

"Ahem... Ale please"

Receiving his ale, the tiefling stops the barkeep. "Excuse me, miss. Can you catch me up on the local going-ons? I am seeking employment and possibly adventure... perhaps you could point me to a suitable and reliable employer? I do not know anyone here and there are some rough looking people I would rather not offend. I would gladly give coin if you could introduce me to anyone of import that is here tonight"

The Sword and the Fallen Angel - Recruitment

Jael Kedric replies to the gnome, "Aye, seeing as you have had some success, perhaps you are qualified. Consider an agreement struck then. Can you help me arrange for some more companions capable of ensuring your survival in dealing with our problem?"

The old priest takes note of the two newcomers and raises an eyebrow in question to Pari and Garnet, asking, "What about those two? Are they experienced looking? I cannot tell. I would hate have young heroes inadvertently sent to their deaths if they were not up to the challenge."

NPC - Grog the half-orc bartender (retired fighter)

Marla is a little busy at the moment, so the newcomer tielfling's questions go unheard by her.

There is another bartender, a grumpy looking half-orc, drying a mug with a cloth as he looks around the common room. He occasionally spits into the mug he is drying to clean off a pesky spot or two.

At first Grog pays him no mind while he cleans a mug, but then he decides to take pity on the novice adventurer, "Dat's ork piss. Ya want some of the gud stuf, foa silva a mug." He holds out his hand showing all five fingers, but doesn't touch the gold coins on the counter top yet.

While waiting on the answer to see if the young half-fiend wants something that will put hair on his chest, Grog gives him some free advice. Nodding towards Jael Kedric he says, "Da padra der be askin fo vet'ran warriors. Maybe not fur ya. Naw..."

Grog nods in the direction of the half-elf Biaggio, "Ya betta try dat bloke ova der. But he be messin' wit cards and drink roight now."

[sblock=OOC]Those little comments are done by clicking the green thumbs up in the bottom left of the post. It is an experience award.

Also you should put your character's name, race and class in the title of your post to identify who your character is for OOC reference (you too VV). When there are 10-15 players around things get confusing otherwise. Then if you are part of a specific conversation you can change it to reflect that.[/sblock]

"What about those two? Are they experienced looking? I cannot tell. I would hate have young heroes inadvertently sent to their deaths if they were not up to the challenge."

Pari nods in satisfaction as the man confirms his new employment, then looks around at the newcomers. "I've never seen them in here before, but they look pretty green to me. It's their lives at stake, and adventurers take risks for a living, but since it's now my hide - and my friends' - on the line I'd like someone who knows a bit about what they're doing watching my back. You agree, Garnet?"

"Aye," answers Garnet, eyeing the newcomers. "I don't have much of an eye for these things, but I think ye have the right of it, Master Pari."

After taking another look around, Pari nods subtly at the table of drinkers. "The mage with the funny accent over there was handy on our last outing, and I wouldn't mind having him along if you can pry him away from his drinking buddies. That would be three of us . . . how many did you say you were looking for?"

OOC: Just in case it's not clear, he's indicating Heinrich.
