[Tavern Thread] The Dunn Wright Inn

Muzdum takes a strong swing of the strange booze. "Dat's good stuff!" he says, laughing. "Me be Muzdum Blackrock, proud warrior of the warriors' caste of the Blackrock clan. It sounds important when me says it dis way, but the halls of ancient where I grew up, are ruins now, infested by dirt goblins and orcs." he raises a hand to the barkeep. "No offence mate."

[sblock=Scott] I think so. At least that's what I meant earlier. :) Although it would be nice if @Aldern Foxglove chimed in on this. Since this will be only my second PF campaign in the DM chair (all my experience is in 3.5ed), we are frequently bouncing interpretations of rules off each other. And I copied that part of my rules from him.

OOC: That would be my interpretation to. Seems reasonable, its almost like the ability to spontaneously cast.

In my system a Wizard gains the spell slots as if they were left blank at the beginning of the day meaning he could spend 15 minutes to fill them as per the standard preparation rules.

Once again the tavern's door flings open and a blurry black figure strides in. At first it seems that the newcomer is clad in tattered rags but on a closer inspection it becomes obvious that he is in fact covered in coal black feathers, which are heavily shorn at some places. He wears a simple dress of a human woodsman and his frame - stocky and broad in shoulders - also seems to be more human than avian. Still his motions are swift and precise. As he removes his hood, his raven-like head turns to study those gathered in the hall. His biddy amber eyes glint with cunning and intelligence as he opens his vicious beak to greet the patrons. "Peace to you all!" He swiftly approaches the table where the adventurers sit and studies them for a few moments, tilting his head from side to side. "You lot look like you are not local, do you happen to need an experienced guide?"

St. Ulthar's Medallion

Alvise Biaggio leans back, surveying the room through bleary eyes. He grins thoughtfully, and then focuses his gaze on those at his table taking part in the drinking game.

"So," the grizzled half-elf says. "Who's up for another cut of the deck?"

OOC: After suffering the week from hell (which culminated in two ER visits), I'm a bit lost as to which players are still up for a trip to the swamp for some treasure hunting.

Le Jubb - Tiefling level 1 alchemist

"Well met Muzdum. I'm going to try my luck at this card game going on behind us. Time for someone else to buy the drinks! You should come, perhaps he knows where we can find ourselves a job."
The tiefling downs what is left of his mug and strolls over to the half-elf with the deck of cards.

Fort roll:
Roll Lookup

"It appears you need new drinking companions. Seems your wizard friend has had his fill of drink or has other matters to attend to. So how do I play this card game? I understand the loser pays for the drinks, and I need a fresh one.

I am Le Jubb, by the way. Alchemist by trade -- if you know of anyone with too much coin for their own good."

[sblock=OOC to Mark Chance]
Not sure anyone was still active at your card game. Me, Voda Vosa, and Animal have all walked in recently with fresh level 1s. Can't speak for the other 2, but I am looking for an adventure to join.

Having carried out the task that Roondar had bequeathed upon him and his fellow tengu, Bozzago returns to the inn, walking through the door a little worse for tear. Though he had ultimately succeeded, Gregori's death weighed heavily on him, despite the fact that he had not known or even completely trusted the man. Too tired to exercise the exaggerated caution he had demonstrated the last time he came here, he would pay for a room with some of his recently earned gold, before going upstairs to get some sleep.

OOC: Would anybody happen to know how/where one would buy new stuff after a quest? EDIT: Nevermind, looked more into the Pearl, lol.

Izzik burst through the door flashing his brilliant smile and strutting - there really is no other word - across the room to the bar.

"Hey Marla, Trixie, look at this I have magically enhanced muscles now!" He says laughing at himself with a throaty mischievous chuckle as he flexes. "Brilliant hey? Now I have the strength of one quite strong man!"

Aressa slinks in behind her summoner - a Sphinx-like creature - having been called back largely in order for Izzik to have someone to enthuse to about his new acquistions on the way back from the Mystic pearl - where he spent like a gluttonous pervert in an exotic bakery. The eidolon stalks across the room into the shadows beneath the bar and settles back to roll her eyes at almost everything Izzik says.

The handsome young summoner orders a drink and turns back to survey the room, "So who is looking for an experienced dire bat slaying, tengu tackling, octopus, um, overwhelming adventurer and his trusty sidekick?"

"Ha, sure I'm the sidekick." Aressa snaps irritably.

[sblock=perrinmiller]Ready and reporting for duty, one 2nd level Summoner ready to roll! Is that enough to get the adventure started? Syldar from Bats in the Belfry should also be 2nd level I believe. Raring to go![/sblock]

A massive, battle scarred half orc with a brand new flail on his back wanders downstairs and head to the bar, orders some food, and sits down at the table with the card players to watch to see who is lucky and who isn't. A small weasel pops out of one of the pouches as Ausk sits down, and waits expectantly on his owner's shoulder for the food to show up. Ausk just kind of chuckles at the enthusiasm of the young summoner at the bar.
OOC: What adventures are currently being advertised right now? Ausk is a oracle/barbarian that, if I use my DM credits, could be only 100 xp away from 2nd level.
