As the others clear out, Tamarand snarls at the woman. He had long ago learned to avoid those who serve the Flame and so ignored the woman's calls for help. When the gnome, Roswyn, addresses him, the drow smiles again.

"Oh, I would like to hear your thoughts on something I'm looking for, or rather someone. Unfortunately, I'm not ready to discuss it so openly yet. Perhaps after we've got to spend more time together I'd be more willing to open up" Tamarand replies.

"For now, I will toast to the next lamb's to the Flame's slaughter." he says coldly, ordering a glass of wine and raising it mockingly to the departed group.

For now, he's playing this one coy ;). Maybe if they adventure together he'll divulge further

River grabs his Battle Standard and leaves the main room, following the member of the Flames. Before entering the small room, he look at Tamarand. "Arawai will prevent that."

[sblock=Sorry]Too tired last night to propose my adventure. I'll definately go on with renau's though, thanks! I'll wait until people are suitably placed before proposing. Hopefully tomorrow.[/sblock]

Valahad strides back into the tavern, his plate armor jingling quietly. His brow is scrunched, as if he forgot something. Seeing the Flamist move towards a side room and others move to follow her, the kalashtar shoots a quick telepathic message towards Lanharath. "I forgot something...What is going on?"

Lanharath can be seen walking to one of the many side rooms with a gnome, and a goliath before he "hears" Valahad's question.

"Welcome back, friend. We are heading to one of the meeting rooms on a potential job. The knight of the flame has offered us a job. We could certainly use your skills if you want to join us."

Alexia turns towards Tamarand. "What a horrible thing to say," she says while utterly failing to conceal her smile. "I'm sure they'll be fine."

Besides, she thinks to herself, I think I'd like to keep an eye on that mumbling half-orc. Could be some leverage to be gained against House Cannith, and wouldn't that be useful...
[sblock=About Tondrek]For what its worth, Tondrek's mark is under his clothes (see his background).[/sblock]

Roswyn nods. "As you wish."

"For now, I will toast to the next lamb's to the Flame's slaughter." he says coldly, ordering a glass of wine and raising it mockingly to the departed group.

The gnome narrows her eyes. "You mean the group that left with the priest? I remind you, one of them was my brother - and despite appearances, I assure you he is no lamb. Or perhaps I am misunderstanding your meaning?"

[sblock=Dragonmarks]I was wondering about that. Can a mark be detected using Arcana/Detect Magic? If not, and it can just be covered up with clothes or makeup, I wonder what's the point of the Conceal Dragonmark ritual?

Regarding Tondrek - he's a pretty distinctive character. Is his identity and status widely known, or does he have a "secret identity"? Could Roswyn have heard a rumor of some "half-orc Cannith" out there? (If it's secret, and Roswyn can't tell, that's fine... hopefully there's some other, obviously dragonmarked PC she can follow to give her an excuse to join an adventure. :)[/sblock]

- Clothes can be taken off, which reveals the mark if its not concealed
- Detect magic *might* work when the mark is active, unclear otherwise. In 3.5, you could use Arcana to ID a mark you see, and detect magic to see its spell like ability. [/sblock][sblock=Re: Tondrek]

Oh, there are defenitly rumors going around in the right circles as Tondrek was "exposed" to defame a Cannith heir (see his BG). The name of the half-orc wasn't given, but there was a vague description. Tondrek's also been floating around the Sharn underbelly so some rumors (ala, Streetwise) of him (though less so of his mark, likely) would be floating around. So Roswyn is free to suspect something, its the evidence which is the problem...[/sblock]

[sblock=Re:Dragonmarks]I might add that a very well made tatoo needs to be recognized as such. Arcana, or just Perception? Or both?[/sblock]
