[sblock=Re: Dragonmarks]- Clothes can be taken off, which reveals the mark if its not concealed
- Detect magic *might* work when the mark is active, unclear otherwise. In 3.5, you could use Arcana to ID a mark you see, and detect magic to see its spell like ability. [/sblock]

[sblock=Re: Re: Dragonmarks]That makes sense... Using Arcana/detect magic for this purpose would be up to the DM, I suppose. If allowed, the conceal ritual could also block that like it does Perception.

I guess when exactly a mark is "active" might not always be clear. Is the scribing mark active every time Roswyn speaks one of the granted languages? Probably. What if she's just listening to one of the languages? Less clear. How about when she uses Diplomacy? Maybe...[/sblock]

[sblock=Re: Tondrek]Oh, there are defenitly rumors going around in the right circles as Tondrek was "exposed" to defame a Cannith heir (see his BG). The name of the half-orc wasn't given, but there was a vague description. Tondrek's also been floating around the Sharn underbelly so some rumors (ala, Streetwise) of him (though less so of his mark, likely) would be floating around. So Roswyn is free to suspect something, its the evidence which is the problem...[/sblock]

[sblock=Re:Re: Tondrek]That's perfect! Roswyn is in fact trained in Streetwise and could have heard the rumor... thus want to keep an eye on this strange half-orc to find evidence to confirm the rumor. So, good excuse to join an adventure that she might not otherwise be too keen to join! Roswyn is not really an "adventurer" per se, so I have to look for excuses. ;)

(I'll edit my previous IC post.)[/sblock]

The gnome narrows her eyes. "You mean the group that left with the priest? I remind you, one of them was my brother - and despite appearances, I assure you he is no lamb. Or perhaps I am misunderstanding your meaning?"

I missed that he was your brother. Remember, those who serve the Flame are likely to get burned" Tamarand says cryptically.

Valahad speaks back to the other kalashtar mentally. "The flamists are good, perhaps a bit fanatical, but they have just things in their heart. They fight the darkness and are good cause to join." The paladin follows the others after the Flamist.

A halfling teen walks into the bar. He looks around the place, ignoring the practice of naming himself. His hair is short, much like the style of the other halflings from the city. His clothes and body type show that he is well fed and well clothed. Not rich, but not a street beggar either. Finally his gaze settles on the half-orc building his tower. He walks over to the half-breed, his gaze meeting that of a rather small goliath in an ajoining room. Upon reaching the half-orc he pulls on the man's sleeve. "Me and my Pa need help, can you help us?"

[sblock=Adventure Proposal]
This is an adventure proposal for my adventure, "Dirty Money". I am looking for 5 characters, where all roles are filled. I'll hold a spot for Renau, since he did the same for me. I usually post daily, so that is when updates are done. Good PCs are best, but not required.[/sblock]

Upon reaching the half-orc he pulls on the man's sleeve. "Me and my Pa need help, can you help us?"
Tondrek, who as until recently humming something unrecognizable, jumps a bit, causing the tower to fall once again. Seemingly forgetting it already, the half-orc turns to the little halfling. He stares a bit, a small bit of drool forming at the corner of his mouth, until the halfling looks at him more intently. Oh! Hi, little half-man! What you here for? Looking for to be adventuremure?

The iron construct next to Tondrek looks at the halfling impassively, waiting for a threatening move.

A messenger comes into the bar looking for someone very specific with a sending stone in his hand. After a few words with Brews the runner heads toward the back room. After a few minutes he comes out hot on the heels of Rohna. She tosses him back the sending stone and leaves the bar without a another word. With a thunder of hoofbeats she can be heard tearing out of the cliffside district.

A couple hours later she returns, cleaning something sticky off of the back of one of her spiked gauntlets. The door to the room she had been in before is standing open and empty. She sees the halfling eyeing her as she comes back up to the bar. "So kid, whats the problem?"

The halfling kid half-smiles at the half-orcs response. When the goliath approaches, the teen nods. "My Pa has a shop, some kobolds have been giving us problems. They collect gold from my Pa to protect us, but they keep increasing the gold. Pa was sayin' rent is too much, and our dinners are less and less. Can you talk to my Pa to have him move or at least stand up to the kobolds?"

"I think we could have a 'talk' with those kobolds for your pa. We might need a couple more people though since those buggers tend to swarm up by the hordes when you least expect it."
