Taverner's Trusty Tome question

Shadowdancer

First Post
I bought the Taverner's Trusty Tome recently. I like it, it has some good stuff in it. But I have a question.

In Chapter 2, the charts of standard alcohol drinks and mixed drinks both have a column for Fort. DC (it is the last column on both charts). I am assuming this is a Fortitude Save DC. But I can't find anything in the text that gives a game mechanic requiring a Fort Save role for the drinks.

So what are those Fort. DCs for, or am I just missing something? Can anyone help me out?

I do not own the book, but IMHO a fortitude save is to avoid the effects of being drunk.
A person being drunk will have some penalties.

I've been puzzled by that line since I bought the book. I figure something got changed and the fort save went away.

That was my guess as well. But in the text, where it discusses intoxication and levels of intoxication and resulting penalties/effects, it never mentions anything about a saving throw to avoid becoming intoxicated. That's why I'm wondering if I'm missing something somewhere.
