TCotM: Tenebrynn's Idylls

"I rather suspect it isn't memory loss. When I came to, the very same spells were anchored to my mind as in the moment that Guile and I entered the Crux. It is not impossible, of course, but I rather suspect I would have performed at least somewhat different preparations."

"Yes, that is exactly what I felt when I woke up in Orussus. I too had the same spells prepared and cannot understand some of the spells that are in my spellbooks now. Kiara, helped me in those first few days get my bearings." replies Tenebrynn becoming more sensitive to his 'wife's' fealings.

Let me guess, you and Vanitri have it. Laynie doesn't and I suppose Rayne neither. Hogarth is well, but we ignore what happen in teh last ten years except for a few detail. Let me guess, you remembered to be in teh tower and a moment later, you were 10 years later."

"You're listing the people who were exposed to the Crux, but you left out our latest arrival, who will be here in a short while--she doesn't have a sanctum, so she can't Teleport directly into the Academy. And here's the thing that hurts your theory--Vanitri says she doesn't have any memory loss."

"You mean Electra does remember the last 10 years..." replies Rinaldo "But when did Vanitri left Electra? How long have they been together since Vanitri lost his memory?"

"We'll see if that is still the case, then. We didn't all enter the Crux at the same time, however, so whatever effect it is, it may have been delayed for her. Though I suppose we could compare when we came to each in the meantime. That may bring some more insights."

*As they compare the timing, they discover that all of them were struck with the amnesia/whatever-it-is at exactly the same time. Elektra was unaffected (and simply the fact that she Teleported to the Academy successfully is proof that she remains so).*

Ashnar sighs. "This either means the whole affair is not related to the Crux and rather something we experienced later, or the Crux had chronostatic effects, namely the effect would take place at a fixed point in time. What this would mean for Elektra, I'm not sure, maybe it would happen further in the future for her. Let us take the previous route for now - it should be something that happened to us at the same time, and not to Elektra, Laynie, or Hogarth, and still deal with Chronomancy. How did things go after we entered the Crux?"

"After you entered the Crux. you mean during the battle against Sin or you mean in the last ten years?.

For the battle, after you left, we tried to think a way to destroy the Crux. Me and rayne have thinks of many possibilty and I discover how teh field work. It was sensible to motion. The farther you were from the Crux, the more quicker you could move. I approach slowly the Crux but when I was pretty near, I was moving too fast for teh distance, so I got absorbed.

After that, all I know is what Hogarth told me. We came back somehow and Rayne defeated Sin. The tower is still standing and the Crux is still intact. That bring me a question. What are the reason we have decided to keep the Crux as it is. I thought we had established is instability, so how we figured it was stable?

For the last ten years, I know little, except that Joe died during the battle of Orussus against the lichwyrm army. Laynie, Rayne, Kiara, maybe you can light our lanterns about that lichwyrm, how it raise into power, who fight him and how it was defeated. And what the four of us did during these dark times?"
