ooc: I don't believe that Electra is here, though Bront can correct me if I'm wrong
Lex was SUPPOSED to teleport here behind me, so I would think she'd have arived before the others. Nevermind, I'm apparently far behind.

"Here's another thought. The ones effected are the ones who were in the tower the longest. Lex only came when Rinaldo went and got her, the rest of us were in the tower for at least two days, maybe longer. We had destroying the Crux on our mind for quite a while, and the crux had time to study us, if it had some semblance of sentience. Truely, as far as it was concerned, we were it's greatest threat." Vanitri says.

"You mean that the Crux would have send us here on purpose? To convince us it is not a threat. To do that, it would need some form of intelligence. How can it be?" asks Rinaldo

"I seem to recall that sentient magic objects can be crafted by those with a very deep understanding of the arcane matrices that also allows one to anchor potent spells to one's mind, and I have little doubt that Laynie's mother had this level of understanding, from what we have seen of Sin's prowess. Of course, it is also possible that such a potential sentience was the product of an accident in creation or handling of the Crux. And occasionally, when magic is left to its own devices..."

"I'm still thinking that now all of us are back together that we should travel to the Crux and study it more, even if it yeilds nothing more than confirming what we determined after Sin was defeated. At least that way those of us affected by memory loss could move on and try alternative solutions. It seems like it would be best to avoid any invasive tests if at all possible. I for one want those 10 years of memories back if that is what happened to us. I want to remember Kiara. So even if the Crux is currently out of phase, if we travel there we have the best chance of finding it when it does come back." replies Tenebrynn, knowing what will come next.

"I would like for sure to remember these last ten years. It is like stealing the memory of the childhood of my children." tells Rinaldo "But... if we do that, we travel with teleportation and we do it fast. I've told to Valeria I would stop all that adventuring... after I thought I was about to lose my soul, I saw how much I am missing them. Still... this story of the lichwyrm attacking Orussus, killing Joe. My family lives there. If we have to go back in time, I can't see how I'll be able to respect my words knowing the threat that will come up to my doorstep."

"And what happen to the other aspects? Where are they now? Pride? Joy? Hope? Sin is dead, but what happen to Eleyna, the mother of Laynie, the caring mother?"

"A few of the Aspects survived, and I have been working for years on theories of how they might be pieced together back into a whole. Sin's power and portion of my mother was bloated by all the Aspects she absorbed, and so the fact that she was destroyed has made it much more difficult, but allowing a reconstruction domnated by evil was certainly not an option either."

*Kiara looks like she is about to hug Tenebrynn, but then she second-guesses herself. Meanwhile, Laynie ponders:*

"The Crux can take a very long time to come into phase. Years even. Sometimes it comes more quickly, and the amount of time it stays is also random. Truth be told, we have been quite lucky. If it had come more often and stayed longer in the early days before I had the area warded, very bad things might have happened to spacetime. But it didn't, so no worries. Anyway, going there and waiting years for it to show up is not a winning strategy...unless you're an elf I guess," she chuckles.

"Well, regardless of what we plan in the now, I'll need a quick detour to Orussus tomorrow anyway. I've told my messenger to meet me there again to give her a rough timeline of my absence. As for the past... if, if, it should turn out that we can go back, we may be the ones best equipped to handle it with the information we can glean from here..."

"I mean, if you want to go back in time 10 years, I could always try some forbidden Chronomancy, but somehow that seems like a very bad idea that would just get us back where we started except with two Cruxes now, and one in the middle of the Academy, where it would be even more dangerous."

"Laynie, would it be possible for teh Crux to send us 10 years foward in our own timeline?" asks Rinaldo. "Is there only one timeline that define the futur of an instant, or is there many of them, all depending on the choice we do?"
