Tell Me About GENCON...

Sadly, I doubt that I will make it this year. I had been planning on going, but that was dependent on my wife getting a better paying job. Now, the plan is to make it to the 2006 GenCon.

I wanted to express my gratitude for the good deed you did with regard to putting together the memorial display for the ENWorld booth, particularly the part in memory of my friend, The Lone Corndog. That meant a lot and a free beer is the least I can do.

It was no problem at all.

So do I just pop over to the GenCon site and find wherever there's a button that says, "I want a 4-day badge"? Do I have to pick it up at the Con or do they send it to me in advance?

Yeah, once things are up and running, you go and buy the badge online, and then you can choose to either pick it up there, or have it shipped. I HIGHLY recommend having it shipped. That way there is no standing in line when you get there. They will ship it mid-July, if the procedure stays the same as the last two years.

Last year, I was the only survivor in my party of 7.

If you want to coordinate so we are in the same place at the same time and stand a better chance of being on the same team, I'd be all for chucking dice with you in that tourney. If you like the sound of that, PM me when event registration nears.

Do you mind if I join you guys? Francisca, I think that we still have an outstanding "I'll game with you sometime" pledge from last year.

Wish you could make it, BU. If travel cost is an issue there's a chance that I could give you a ride to split the cost of gas.

Naw, thanks for the offer though. Money is an issue, but part of it is that we have other stuff we need to spend it on that does not include GenCon.

Maybe I'll get lucky though and Wizards will fly me up for the weekend.

It'd be cool, do some old skool dice chucking/dungeon-crawling.

And the year before...... But yeah, man. Let's do it.

I do still have that Moldvay/Cook Expert level adventure I wrote up for 2003 still sitting around.

Bring it along, I'm up for that too.

Wow, it's only February, and I'm already filling my schedule up with games...

Yep, getting there Wednesday afternoon. If the trip is anything like the past two trips, probably around 4:30-5pm. Check in, rest for 45 minutes, then off to walk around the center and grab some dinner at the Ram or Alcatraz Brewing Co.
