The PCs are working for the University of Aundair in the Eberron setting. They're on board the university airship Crown of Wisdom, working for deranged gnomish Professor Cuttlevale (think the Professor from Futurama), and have flown up to the Frostfell north of Khorvaire.
'Oh my', says Cuttlevale, 'there are tales of an ice worm living beneath these glaciers, yes, and I want to examine it. Here's a fishing hook; go catch it.'
Several dozen goats and an anchor later,the PCs manage to get the fearsome remorhaz hooked. It's not happy with this. The PCs rapple down the side of the airship to try to manhandle the worm into restraints hanging from the hull, but before they can do that, the remorhaz jackknifes up onot the deck and lights the ship on fire.
Great is their panic. They end up pushing the remorhaz off the side of the ship from several thousand feet up.
