Tell me about your D&D group

My secondary group meets every Tuesday night from 7pm to 9pm or 9:30. The current incarnation of the group has been playing together for about 8 years. The campaign, with players coming and going over the years, has been going on since about 1985, I think.

The demographics of this group is a little harder for me to give, as I do not know everyone's ages. I am kind of guessing in most cases.

Male, 50, Chemical Engineer
Male, 43, Administrator/Desktop Publisher/Editor
Female, 32, Used Bookstore Owner
Male, 33, Retail Manager
Male, 20, Retail Sales
Male, 18, College Student
Male, 17, High School Student

There are a bunch of others who occasionally play, but I did not count them as they appear very sporadically. We are playing Basic D&D, mostly Rules Cyclopedia, if I am not mistaken. That's been the only edition ever used.

My group started around 3 years ago. Some of the faces have changed but myself and one other have been there the whole time.

Current group is

Myself 33 male in IT
35 male Pastor
29 female facilties management
50ish female homemaker and farmer
60ish female self employeed
23 male pilot
50is male retired

We're playing D&D 3.5 currently

My group has been together for about twenty years, but I only joined in 1993. It's seen a bit of turnover from among an extended group of friends.

There are six of us left who haven't yet failed a system shock roll. We're all male, age range is 32-39. Professions include computer programmer, government representative, security personnel, builder, project management, and writer.

Currently we're finishing off a 3E campaign, but seriously considering porting it to 1E as we are lucky to get a game in monthly and it's been our experience that we don't get enough done under 3E to suit that schedule. It's not certain where we're going after that but the most likely options are a 1E campaign or WHFRP adopted for a homebrew setting.

My current group is new and will likely change once my life gets settled and I find a career in gods know where. I had longer-together groups that got splintered due to leaving college and an online community, both in the last year. Of the current group:

Together, we've existed for...a month. I've been playing with each person in the group for at least a year and a half, and for almost 4 years with one person, just in different groups.

We are all male, one is age 17, the rest are 21-24.
1. High school student
2. Grad student in English going into teaching
3. College undergrad majoring in Philosophy
4. Myself; recent Electrical Engineering graduate, currently "between jobs"

We play 3.5 exclusively, may try pathfinder later on.

How long has your group been playing together?
Hmm, weekly since about 1994 I think. Although my attendance lately has been spotty.

What are the ages, genders, and professions of the people in your group?
All male, 40-50 in age except we recently added a player's nephew who I think is 19 or 20. Jobs: 3 managers, 1 chemist/engineer, 1 Comp Prog, 1 accountant, and I should find out if the new guy works :)

What edition are you playing?
3.5e homebrew. No real discussion about change as long as the current campaign is running.

I am doing little impromptu questionnaire cross posted from here and could use your help. :D
