Terra Subterranea and The Caverns of Lost Time

Ducane tries to hit the Wendigo, while keeping a defensive stance and waiting for Zack to get in melee.

OOC: HP 52 / 65, AC 20 + 1 from Dodge +1 Haste + 2 fighting defensively = 24 against the Wendigo he's attacking (23 against others).

Effects: Prayer, Haste, Force Screen, Chain of Personal Superiority, Shaken. Bonuses include: +2 Damage (+ 1 Str + 1 Prayer), +1 Attack rolls (+1 Strength + 1 Haste + 1 Prayer - 2 Shaken), +7 HP (+2 Con).

Attack +7/+7/+2 (1d10+7), while fighting defensively.

*Ducane makes three attacks, but they all miss or deflect harmlessly off the Wendigo's hide. Two of them would have definitely have struck home if not for Ducane's focus on his own defenses.*

*Aya joins Eternity in preparing an attack for the dragon.*

*One Wendigo can't help but laugh at this ridiculous situation. The other does not think this is so funny. It pounds into Ducane with slightly less reckless abandon after missing completely last time. Of its two vicious claws, Ducane manages to just barely dodge one of them thanks to his focused training in dodging a single opponent. The other mauls him and leaves bloody gashes, though without as much power in it, he should be fine.*

(OOC: Ducane takes 32 Damage. Opale's turn)

*The Wendigo barely shrugs off Opale's attempt to blind it, though it is covered in glittering dust and unable to hide or turn invisible.*

*Meanwhile, the dragon dives downward and sprays icy death upon all below, except Michael and Hulgyr. However, it is unable to both engulf the remainder of the party and also keep its distance from Aya and Eternity, so before it can attack, two rays shoot out at it from the two women, an intense line of fire from Eternity's palm and a beam of black netherstuff from Aya's spiral wandish-thing. Both attacks are clumsy, but it's pretty hard to miss such a big target, so they both barely hit. Unfortunately, the dragon's powerful aura of magical energy allows it to resist Eternity's power, and it very nearly avoids Aya's spell as well. However, the Wizard's beam strikes the dragon, leaving it badly weakened.*

(OOC: Eternity doesn't quite bypass SR. Aya's Enervation Enervates for 4 negative levels.)

*Then the dragon finally lets loose the aforementioned freezing death from above. It hits the Wendigo as well, but the brutish creature is imbued with the spirit of cold and is unharmed by the attack. Aya and Eternity are not so lucky, as their concentration on attacking the dragon causes them to lose focus for just an instant and take a full-power blast from the dragon's breath. Zack, Opale, and Ducane manage to dive out of the way.*

(OOC:

Aya takes 2 Damage
Ducane takes 14 Damage
Eternity takes 23 Damage
Opale takes 9 Damage
Zack takes 15 Damage

Ducane, Michael, Hulgyr, Zack go

Wendigos(2)
Opale
Aya
Eternity
Cealdraniath
Ducane<----- we are here
Michael
Hulgyr
Zack)

(OOC: Oh, and of course, Hulgyr is going to break out again--)

*With a last heave of superhuman strength, Hulgyr moves aside nearly a ton of rock and snow and pulls his way out of the debris, first his hand sticking out, then his upper torso, and then the whole raging orc.*

"Bro, I need an opening," Zack says before dashing in to engage the non-laughing wendigo. Taking a firm hold on his scythe, he swings the blade at the creature.

OoC: That is, Zack can't stand an Attack of Opportunity, so he would really appreciate it if Ducane would draw one from the wendigo since the younger brother does have Mobility.
Normal move, then attack with Power Attack 3. Attack +12, damage 2d4+18/x4, activates Knockdown feat. If he can get to a flanking position, power attack for 2 more.
Knockdown gives a free trip attempt (no AoO, touch attack or return trip on a failed attempt), Zack's bonus is currently +8.

HP 31/79
AC 14, Touch 9, Flat-footed 14 (+5 Armor, +1 Dodge bonus from Haste, -2 Rage)
Fort +8 Ref +1 Will +2
Attack +15/+15/+10 (2d4+12/x4)
Str 22 (+6) Con 16 (+3), -2 on ability checks.

*With a last heave of superhuman strength, Hulgyr moves aside nearly a ton of rock and snow and pulls his way out of the debris, first his hand sticking out, then his upper torso, and then the whole raging orc.*

Michael would like to invoke his own feat of strength and attempt to get Hulgyr out on Michael's turn, thereby freeing Hulgyr's turn up for the smiting of evil.

(OOC: Since he healed Zack, Michael only spent a single move action moving towards Hulgyr last round, so in rough terrain with his Breastplate on, that's 10 feet. He won't be able to make it over there, even if he's allowed to sprint on rough terrain for x4 movement (which I think isn't allowed actually), so he can't pull Hulgyr out this round. If the Sprint is allowed, he can at least do that and be over by Hulgyr and buff him or something next round)

(ooc: Eternity intends to metamorphose into a pixie next round on her turn and move down and away from the cliff so that she can attack the dragon from another angle the turn after that.)
