That's pretty amazing. I suspect he's listening to the other player's joystick control as much as the game.

In Tekken, you can move back from the opponent, and back and back, to well outside of combat range. The only way this kid would know that, is if he heard you tap left-left, left-left to back up. And then if he heard you go right-right, and then hitting a button to do a flying kick, he might know to avoid that. Perhaps this kind of move can't be accomplished as easily in Mortal Kombat. I don't know.

Otherwise, I tend to believe that given the spatial 3-d nature of some of these games, it would be impossible for him to know where his opponents were on the screen, unless he can build a map of the game in his head, and corrolate the joystick movements at the same time.

It's pretty impressive. I'd certainly hate to get my butt kicked by a blind guy.
