I am hoping for Orcs.

Personally, I am not "sick" of Drow, but I would rather they take their position as an NPC race and stay there. They are not angsty, emo, dual-wielding anti-heroes tettering on the edge of good and evil. They are cruel, matriarchal, hedonistic, sadistic, psychotic killers. And I prefer them as Lawful Evil, myself. The fantasy third reich x10.

By far hoping for minotaur, but my money is on the orc. Either will do just fine.

I'm going to guess ogre. As in "the fierce ogre ranger, Shrek". ;-)

Though what I'd like to see is winged folk.

I'm going to hope for Minotaurs myself. I've had a chance to play one just the once thus far in 3.5, and it was a blast. Of course, that begs the question, how to handle a large-size, non-LA/ECL PC race? Do you 'grow-up' at 10th level or something?

Me too, but I doubt they are kewl enough to make it. It will probably be something more anime like catgirls or WoWish like Minotaurs.

Drow would be the FOURTH elf race in the PHB though. There would be more elves than the other races combined.

Lizardfolk!

It's obviously going to be lizardfolk. The way all the dropped hints make no reference to lizardfolk whatsoever is a clear sign of a coverup. Keep the dream alive!

I was vacilating between Hobgoblin and Orc, but now I'm starting to think orc. The hints so far (Empire, ect) had me thinking Hobgoblin...but then I realized that not only have the designers not mentioned Half-orcs at all, I don't think I've heard one word about Orcs in 4th edition. I can't see that happening unless they've got something up their sleeve with orcs.

Thus, I said that they should stay as an NPC race. A Monster Manual race, for NPCs only. I don't want them in the PHB either.

My list would also include Winged Folk, Cat or lion men, and something like the Jedi.
