Have at it. Throw your ideas and we can critique them. Here is the first.

Hit Dice are not used.
Short Rest: Recover Hit Points (½ of current?)
Long Rest: Recover all Hit Points

Fixed HP: HP/level = max (HD) -2, so wizards get 4 HP / level and fighters 8 HP / level.

This works out very closely to what I use in my 3e games. 1/2 HD +2. With the wizard getting d6 they are not completely gimped. So something like d6-2 is fathomable. I like.
