The Aleasana Meta-Thread!

Hehehehe.

Anyway..... Yeah, we should still identify a bunch more cities, city-states, and factions in the main thread. I'll probably spend my next few contributions naming some of the cities and city-states loyal to Cassant, and some loyal to the other factions, and probably naming another faction, because having only 2-3 factions vying for the throne is dull. :)

About why I put Nithus in charge of both the Nightshade Cabal and the Nihilus Solution--both of them have goals that further his ends, and I really want to make Nithus the Palpatine of Aleasana...

I suggest that we keep the number of shay ruled or inhabitated cities at these four : Val-Alen, Kendra, Kallizar, Karina.

I assume that Val-Alen has a rather large Shay population becuase of the sacred tree and spring.

Not to violate the contribution that it´s a predominantly human conflict with only a few shay cities remaining.

Well, I suspect there might be a few more smaller Shay cities and settlements, those four are the big ones. Also, realize that Val-Alen is ruled over by the Aleasani.

Okay, Saladin, not to be a jerk about things--but could you possibly stop pimping out the Elves? It's starting to get a bit ridiculous.

I mean airships--fine. But airships that shoot lightning??? Psychic spies? The Urukhs bypassing the guy that Karina is backing for the throne to deal with Karina directly?

Don't take this the wrong way. I like some of what you've added, and I think your heart's in the right place. But--you seem to be ignoring most of what anyone else puts down, not building on it. Prior to your postings, the Shay were settling very nicely into a subject minority that was trying to deal with its human conquerers. Now they're the freakin' Time Lords and a reader has to ask--how did the Aleasani conquer them in the first place? How did they remain the dominant force for so long?

Just try to scale things back a little. That's all I'm saying.

No worries, Rhialto. You are the initiator for this excellent Thread so its your call. This will be my last post for this creative exercise. Will enjoy reading about how it evolves all the same. cheers!

Ah.

I don't know whether to be guilty or relieved.

And yes, I would rather have kept him around. But if at the first moment of criticism he jumps--well, it is awkward.
