As for politics..... Majera could be a just a little crazy. {:^D The Asani-Moroks do wield magic, but some of their abilities are innate rather than developed, and they are pure descendants of the original Asani humans. They're just mutated by the Curse of their islands.

Besides, Majera was working with the Urukhs for a time, who are about just as bad in her mind (although they too despise magic, their dislike covers all magic, and they're non-human). She'd probably rather have her enemies destroy eachother, after all, and she'll take down whoever's left standing.

I was thinking about revealing that Majera doesn't mind the Urukhs so much--they "know their place" and they keep to themselves for the most part.

Mind you, she still sees them as inferior scum, and now that they've stopped working for her, her ire is building...

PS. I like the map.

As for keeping the posts up... I think the problem for me is that I'm generally at work when I'm on the boards. If inspiration strikes during the few minutes I'm here I'll post. I'm just not on here enough to really think through stuff and add completely new material... like a new faction, for example.

I forgot to add Architecture to Dar´s portfolio. I introduced a scheme that every god I proposed has some kind of art associated with it.
Kithea: Music
Silena: Dance
Dar: Architecture (well not an art like the other ones, but Dar is surely a rather dour guy).
Sungod waiting in the wings: Painting

So, would someone mind if we use this as a general idea?

@Rhialto
What is Delar´s portfolio? Dar already has law and judgement. Law Enforcement perhaps?

What you mean with an interdict? I read that it is a prohibition against participating in religious service, so the Virgonim are prohibited from attending religious service by the church of Dar?

Well, since the Church of Kithea is a branch of the Church of Dar, that would be quite devastating for them if they followed it, ehh? ;)

Also, Delar may not be an old Aleasani god like Dar--but to answer your question, I see him as more into 'Justice' where Dar's more into 'Law'. Delar believes in fair play and punishing the guilty--Dar is more "Do What I Say, Or You Shall Get a Smitting"...

Ah , makes sense.
I see Dar as some kind of jailor deity. The Aleasani are in exile or outcastes and Dar is their god because he takes care of criminals in the original pantheon. :)

Hmmm... Interesting interpretation.

Of course, it's been implied that the original home the Aleasanni is this universe's version of Atlantis--plus Dar seems to have been the powerful god back home, too...

Postscript--you know I was also thinking about doing something with a Sun God--but I was going to make him a Shay divinity...

Hm, would work , but the Astarin, the rulers of the old lands are considered to be the sun´s children, so an aleasani sun god would make sense.
