The Americans Only! Battlestar Galactica Thread

I don't think so. If that was the case then "Boomer"'s ship would've been available for them to escape on.
No, the cylons seem rather interested in reproduction. I think that is where their interest in Helo lies. Six herself said to Baltar that she wanted to have a baby.

I'd have to agree with this. I don't think they could even hope on the outside that Helo could lead them to the fleet; he'd literally have no idea where they are. The reproduction thing does seem more likely...besides, you can almost feel the attraction between Helo and Boomer brewing in their scenes.

Could someone pass me the salt? Because I'm about to eat crow.

Sorry, BG, I already ate the crow.

I for one am elated that Sci-Fi is showing the Friday's episode on Monday night after Stargate Monday since we game on Fridays and I don't own a VCR or a DVR (yet.) It has allowed me to keep up to date with the best damned sci-fi show since they went and cancelled Farscape. The quality of the writing is surprisingly intelligent; Adama's reaction to Starbuck's admission was totally believable! He didn't do a Star Trek and forgive her instantly.

I'm totally hooked and, if they manage to keep this sort of quality up, I may may forgive them for cancelling Farscape. Doubt it though.

Now if only other networks would do good sci-fi and not cancel it. (I'm looking at you, FOX; I've not forgiven you for cancelling Firefly.)

Yupe...that was cold enough for me...Brrrrrrrrr
I generally don't think of him as a great actor, but as soon as she started answering him- the cold stare was very angry and cold.... I couldn't believe it he didn't move at all but somehow was able to make that transition!!! I think that was my first for seeing an actor simply by eyes alone change the entire feeling in a room.

Cool!

Caprica: Last episode I was wondering if perhaps the six model is following because the boomer model doesn't really know yet. She was implanted with the memories and feelings, and honestly just as the other Boomer thinks she is human and Boomer. Six is hanging around for whatever trigger they set up to go off and Boomer acts out some plan.
Though it could all be a trick it seems that the cylons to this point have always had layers to thier thoughts and plans.

Battlestar: As someone else said I loved Adama's reaction to Starbuck, and his forgivness wasn't quick and it will nto be easy for either of them. It will only come at seeing her in that almost daughter like place again.

At the begining of the show I figured they would just do the typial love mess up and at the end Starbuck and Apollo get together, but even if they do do that later at least they are making it way more complex and intreging to get to that point.

Wonder if we will get to see more of Hotdog :) Seems like a great prodegy for Starbuck :)

Curious about some of the preview shots for next week.... Clifferhangers grrrr!

I don't think that's the case. Six said that she was a good actor, which implies that the Boomer on Caprica is messing with Helio. For what purpose remains to be seen. I'm still completely puzzled by this.

Well, we know "They Have a Plan..."

We also know that the Cylons are very religious. I've got a feeling that it may involve a test of faith of sorts...though I don't know. Repopulation may be part of it, too. Didn't Six mention in the miniseries(or the first episode) something about the children taking care of the parents?

It was in one of the first couple episodes while Baltar was having a "conversation" with her. They were out on a balcony and I remember her saying the children/parents quote. I don't remember the exact context however.

I could be wrong but I thought she just stated "Oh she is good." and left it at that.
I could thinking of the wrong scene though- the one I reference is after boomer shot one of the six models in the back thus saving Helio.

Actually, I think that quote was immediately after Caprica Boomer nearly vomited upon discovering a rat-eaten corpse that Helo promptly fired upon with his weapon. Six was on a rooftop observing.

Are there any old-timer BSG fans who know the "callsigns" of the other Viper pilots from the original series? Mayhap we'll see some more slowly show up during the series?

Yes but she was talking about the Cylons being the children, and humanity being the parents.

Or was that Vicki from I, Robot? Damnit! I can't remember which one said that.
