Actually, I think that quote was immediately after Caprica Boomer nearly vomited upon discovering a rat-eaten corpse that Helo promptly fired upon with his weapon. Six was on a rooftop observing.

Ah yes! I forgot sorry :P I remember now, and yep she did specifically say actor.

Drat well, on to new guesses and hopefully more careful watching :)

Battlestar Galactica Trivia

Okay I know this has nothing to do with the current conversation, but I just found this and thought it very interesting.

When Laura Roslin learns she has cancer, you see numerous ships flying overhead - one of which is the Serenity from the show "Firefly" (2002/I).

Anyone still have the mini-series that can check that out? I may have to find out when it comes on TV again to look for that.

Are there any old-timer BSG fans who know the "callsigns" of the other Viper pilots from the original series? Mayhap we'll see some more slowly show up during the series?
Well, keeping in mind that their "callsigns" were their actual names as well, we had:

Greenbean
Jolly
Sheeba
Bojay

Jusst going from memory. I'd have to go and check the mini again, but I'm pretty sure the leader of the flight of Vipers from Galactica we see getting disabled and destroyed by the cylons during the initial attack was led by Greenbean (or perhaps Jolly). I think Bojay and Sheeba were from the Pegasus.

It would not surprise me if it was the same.

Something else to catch firefly fans with :)

This guy seems to have proven himself correct, and possibly answer the question you had.

Always good if someone has the tapes to watch and see as well!

Yep. Serenity is definitely in the background for a second or two. We were warned before we watched the miniseries, so kept an eye out for it. And then rewound and rewatched just for the fun of it.

It's nice to know that *some* people appreciated Firefly.

And yes, I think the new Battlestar is really remarkably good.

So, what's up with Baltus? Is he still evil? Is he still insane? Is he still an arch-betrayer? Is he still hammy as all-get-out?

He's thinking with something other than his brain. The part in question is anything but genius.

I think we can all agree, it's a fracking good show.

That's one of the things I'm really digging about this show. Everything about it is amazing. The effects, the acting, etc... This isn't a show, this is a mini-movie every week. I know I'm gushing, but then they pull the word "frack" from the original and I laugh every time I hear it. Maybe its nostalgia for the original, maybe its because it just sounds a little odd in conversation, I don't know, but I like it. It works.

I know Sheba was from the Pegasus, but I don't recall about Bojay. And yes, Jolly was mentioned in the initial attack during the miniseries; I don't think he was leading the squadron, tho'. I think he was just a wingman. They pronounced it "joe-lee", rather than "jolly", 'cause lord that name was silly.

And 'Greenbean'? There was actually a character named 'Greenbean'?

>sigh< I have a very, very, very fond place in my heart for the original Battlestar, but man, there were some terrible things about that show.

To make it worse I can remember having discussions at school about how cool it would be if the Galactica found Earth and it was the 25th century....you know with Buck, Col. Dearing & Dr. Theopolis!

You do know that the Searcher's mission was to find the lost tribes of Earth that fled after the nuclear holoaust don't you? ;)

Not to mention the endless X-Wing vs Viper vs Earth Directorate Starfighter arguments we had.
