Nah, the entire ragtag BSG fleet will arrive at Earth just in time for the Shadow War to kick off. Then we can have cool firefights between Vipers & Starfurys.

Er, lets.Fajitas said:Hey, let's not forget Troy and Dillon...
Yes. Yes there was.Fajitas said:And 'Greenbean'? There was actually a character named 'Greenbean'?
It was a wonderful show when I was 8, but a lot of terrible things must have seemed really cool when I was 8. I tried watching it again when I was in my 20s and was saddened that it just didn't measure up to my memory of how cool it was. In my case, the word to describe the show wasn't "terrible" so much as it was "corny". Then again, a lot of 70s TV seems really corny to me now.Fajitas said:>sigh< I have a very, very, very fond place in my heart for the original Battlestar, but man, there were some terrible things about that show.

I don't remember the disco scenes in BSG. When I think of bad 70s pop culture references from that period, I think of the Gil Gerard Buck Rogers show.Whisperfoot said:Yeah, especially the '70's hairdos and the disco scenes.![]()
I didn't remember that detail. It wasn't a bad episode either. Compared to some of them, it was an absolute gem.Whisperfoot said:I also thought it was cheesy how in The Gun on Ice Planet Zero - one of the coolest original episodes, Starbuck's hair kept going from long to short, to long again. If only Dirk would have waited until the episode was done shooting to get that haircut.
I vaguely recall that the waltz was back in vogue in the 25th century.MaxKaladin said:I don't remember the disco scenes in BSG. When I think of bad 70s pop culture references from that period, I think of the Gil Gerard Buck Rogers show.
I don't remember what was in vogue in the 25th century. I do remember that one of the running gags was that Buck was not into 25th century music at all and kept listening to 20th century music. This gave the producers an excuse to insert (really terrible) 70s music into various episodes. Often, he would be listening to it in his apartment and the various 25th century people would roll their eyes at his "music" and he would laugh at them.dravot said:I vaguely recall that the waltz was back in vogue in the 25th century.
