Of the five shown I own two, PHB II & UA, Eberron as a setting did not appeal to me so I never read it.
Ptolus & Pathfinder being third party publications are something I don't use.
Between the two I do own both have been of tremendous use, however UA is the I voted for simply because it had so many different ideas that gave my creative instincts a jumpstart.

Well, I voted for the ECS, because as far an bang for buck goes, I've used is way more than any other book I own. Ptolus is great, but I haven't used it enough to love it the way I do Eberron.

Ptolus is worth twice as much as it actually cost.
And copies of it often sell on the second-hand market for far more than it originally cost. One of the few RPG books that improves in actual dollar value over time.

Ptolus... Simply the best.

I wish all RPG books were that well put together. And, that goes beyond the content. The book is made of a far better quality of workmanship than most other RPG books. A real gem.

May have something to do with MC bashing ENWorld on his site last week. Basiclly said 'Guys, don't bother going there'.

It came about during the last poll of the series when some one posted a link there. TerraDave Someone felt it 'tainted' the poll. MC, it seems took that as a personnal slight.

In that exchange it came out that you can logout and vote multiple times in a poll. 'Stuffing the ballot box.' So, basically any poll can be skewed by anyone with the time and disposition to do so.

Here is what he said:

"Apparently, putting a link to that poll here ruined the integrity of it.

I went to ENWorld for the first time in weeks, and saw a poll with two of our products in it, was pleased and flattered, and mentioned it here. Apparently, this makes me an evil mastermind. Or maybe our votes are somehow not as valid as theirs.

I want to like ENWorld, I really do. I used to love it, and went every day. Sadly, that was quite a while ago."

No it means that he saw something that made him proud, he thought to share it with his fans and got hung on a cross for it. That wouldn't make me want to come here either. ENWorld was at one point in time known to be a pretty inclusive site, it doesn't feel quite the same anymore. Of course, on the very next page of that thread he also said "Let's not turn this into an ENWorld bash-fest. I do still like it, just not as much as I once did. " so claiming Monte said not to bother going there is far from the truth.

That being said, another vote for Ptolus.

Morrus>You say it's important for anyone to be able to vote in polls. Why is that? If you have to be logged in to make a post, why not be logged in to vote in a poll? Seems silly to me and allows for rampant ballot stuffing in polls.

Ptolus.

I own all of those products. I've used some of them. They're all very good. However, Ptolus is the only one that I've read cover to cover. And there's a lot between those covers.

People appear to have ignored my request above, so let me reiterate it. Cut out the cross board drama. I don't care what people have said elsewhere; it doesn't need to be discussed or reposted here.

Because polls are used on the news page, and 99% of people who read the news page are not registered members. If people want a secure voting solution, they need to look further than EN World's messageboard poll software, because that's not what it's designed for.

Eberron has gained nearly 100 votes in an hour, while other options have gotten very few. I think it safe to say these polls are no longer 'pure'.
That's what happens when the Eberron fans are encouraging each other to vote more than once.
