The Black Company (aka Rawr, the Lady)

So we've got a nice, pretty, fun Middle-Earth d20 conversion going on, as well as pretty much everything imaginable. I'm fairly certain that we'll see a Thanksgiving Dinner d20 conversion soon, only to be followed by Dungeons and Doritos d20, a d20 conversion about the dangers of late-night snack shopping.

But where, I ask you, is the The Black Company d20 conversion? Certainly this gem of literature couldn't have been overlooked! I know there are some Glen Cook fans here, with handles like Limper and such, so what gives?

Does anyone know of a Black Company d20 conversion?

Would anyone be interested in working on one? Quite possibly with The Great dave_o himself?

Please, for the love of Croaker, respond!

Edit: Never, and I mean never, write a post when...less than yourself.

It actually shouldn't be too hard. I'd say the bulk of it would be a world overview, with people and places statted and detailed. The Black Company books are a series that seems so akin to D&D in spirit that I've always seen them as naturals for a D&D (now d20) conversion. The magic seems to resemble that of D&D very much - especially now that sorcerers exist in the game.

And, have you checked the site linked to in my sig for a number of Middle Earth d20 conversions...?

I would be interested in some of this. I'm a huge Glen Cook fan. Raven was cool, and the wizards were hilarious. And everything was so tragic. I've got a good mind to re read the series now. In fact, I'm going to curl up with the Black Company right now. It's been years since I read it straight from the beginning to current. Keep me "posted" as to what you find out, or what you decide to do.

I've read 'em all. twice.. three times...

i dont think the magic really fits in with D&D well.

they were very, very flexable as to what they could do and given enough time even a chump-rate wiz like one-eye could make a God-killing artefacte.

it would be fun ta try thou
