The Black Death (Rats)

Extinction is really going to wreck havoc with this deck...

It has never been my deck-building philosophy to worry too much about any one particular card. What are the chances someone will have it in their deck? And it is not like anyone (I know) plays with sideboards outside of tournaments. :)

True. If that is not an issue for you, than disregard what I said.:)

6e had this 2 mana, 1/1 rat which caused the opponent to discard a card when it came into play. Not too shabby, IMO.

In my local environment, I played or saw played all kinds of decks built around a single type (possibly 2 kinds) of critter- Kobolds, Goblins, Mermen, Birds, Knights, Angels, Slivers, Thrulls, Minions, Elves, Rats, Snakes, Cats, Squirrels, Zombies- the list goes on.

And I'm just about the only person who played Extinction (casual or tournament) or seemed to sideboard against it. Why? I couldn't say.

Ravenous Rats, originally from Urza's Destiny (though it might've come from Portal/Starter/whatever before that, can't remember.) They've seen a good amount of tournament and casual use, and that's not surprising.
