But I've seen a lot of people that play 5e bounce off of PF2e, and it's not because of the brand. It's because they don't want that type of math. Which is also okay. Not everything works for everyone.

I will say PF2 plays a bit better for me with proficiency without level variant, but yeah I dont like the tight math based on level. Feels artificial in play and is entirely too predictable. Though, if you really dont like 3E/5E math, PF2 is likely what the doctor ordered.

Damn, now I'm curious.

PF2 is a really good game.

Agree. If you like tight, consistent, and integrated math ... it is a great game! As others have alluded, it is similar (not the same ... but similar) to 4e in many ways.

On the other hand, if you like things more loosey-goosey, and enjoy ease-of-homebrew and the ability to quickly adjudicate and/or modify "on the fly" without worrying too much about the math ... it is, IMO, definitely not the game for you.

As I keep stating, not everything works for everyone.

Right. Instead you keep hating it and complaining on forums that this hamburger is terrible because it doesn’t taste like pizza, instead of just getting a pizza. It is your prerogative but everyone can make up their own mind about how productive it is.

The food here is terrible ... and the portions are so small!
